We stayed at the Village HotelAshton Moss (just outside Manchester) for two nights when went to visit friends and see a gig at the Manchester Evening News Arena. The hotel is easy to find, being just off the M60 and is about a 15 / 20 minute drive from Manchester town center
We booked directly with the Hotel and paid £189 for 2 nights in a standard room with bed and breakfast including dinner on the first night.
The hotel has only been open a few months and is classed as a Village 'Premier' Hotel. From the outside the building is very domineering, being mainly black and it has ample free car parking.

When I needed to find some cheap Hotel accommodation in Nottingham City Centre a couple of Weeks ago, the Internet was the logical place to start my search. I tried the usual chains including Travelodge, but since my stay was less than one week away I quickly found that I was struggling.
Eventually I stumbled upon the WelbeckHotel. Location wise it seemed perfect, right in the centre of the City, and price wise it was well within my budget too, and so I confirmed my Online booking.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Well to be honest the first thing that impressed me was the location. It was less than five minutes walk from the Lace Market, and well within walking distance of all of the other Shops and Attractions.

I went to stay here in 2006, I think. For my sisters wedding. It was a nice hotel, the architecture inside I knew wasn't real, but it was meant to look posh. Which it did, but only in one room... the reception. So, I stayed here for two days and one night. I didn't sleep on a proper bed, because the room was full in which I was sleeping in (Since its a wedding and all). So in the corner of the room, I had to sleep on a horrible, tiny, lumpy bed. Which can be folded again into a bag. Of course, I can't blame the hotel for the poor bed, because this was my own fault. I'm sure that if there weren't so many people I could of slept on the double bed, which is better.
