Not worth the money

Advantages: Beautiful surroundings
Disadvantages: A trek from the main street and not family friendly

Good points first - hotel very clean and tidy and the food was excellent. Room maids were fantastic. Staff very friendly and a quiet location, with excellent views of Wengen and surrounding mountains. We stayed for New Year and the restaurant gets very full. Bad points - we stayed in a junior suite and the beds are nothing more than camp beds with very uncomfortable pillows. Fixtures and fittings aren't quiet 4 star i.e. no power shower, small bath etc. It's not a family friendly hotel and noisy children are advised not to attend dinner and for the parents to use the hotel's listening service. We had a 9 month old baby and although it states fridge, it's a chiller not a fridge. Luckily we had a window in our bathroom and the outside temp was below 5oC most days, so the baby milk and food was kept outside. Service in the bar and lounge ...

Review of Beausite Park Hotel, Wengen

It's so easy to get H-I-G-H!

Advantages: Fantastic views within easy reach by all ages.
Disadvantages: Pricey if not using discount cards

, winding rivers, pine forests and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The train stops briefly to pick up passengers at Wengen, which is a picturesque Swiss town crammed with hotels and gorgeous wooden chalets with every balcony packed with vividly colored geraniums and pansies. The train then slowly wends its way through Wengen and magnificent Alpine scenery and lush, green meadows that are dotted with brown and white cows wearing traditional Swiss cowbells and the terrain gets steadily more rugged until the train chugs amid the gentle sound of clonging cowbells into Kleine Scheidegg station, which is the terminus for this cog railway and the starting point for the next cog railway for the final assault on Jungfraujoch. The air is noticeably chillier now and although it was a sunny day in early September warm clothes were definitely ...

Review of The Jungfraujoch Experience, Interlaken

Val d'be there...

Advantages: Graet snow, lifts, nights!!!
Disadvantages: Noisy streets, queues at lifts, tourists, fire crackers let off by silly little, immature boys!!!

for our ski-teacher and she was joining in and singing and the cake was put infront of her very embarrassing!!! If you want to go off-piste and be safe from any falling snow(avalanches!!!) then you can take a guide who equip us with bleepers so that helicoters and rescue planes can fingd people easily!!! Ask for Lawrence or Evan, v. Amusing!!!Froggies!!! There is a local sports centre which you have to pay to get in with wall climbing footbvall, squash I think too. the hotel 'The Blizzard!' has a BILLIARDS TABLE AS WELL OOOOOOH!!! This place rocks and it is great fun too! I advise you spend a week to two. It might get a bit boring and it's a bit too expensive as a ski camp training resort, try austria, Wengen, Flain Gran Massif etc!!!Very cheap places in Flaine,(concrete chalet cities!!!) You can rent skis in val d ...
