The picture of the hotel looks exactly the same when you see it. The reception is very small and the owners are foreign so not the easiest to understand when we checked in. It was a complete nightmare to find and we must have spent about an hour driving through horrendous traffic and one way streets, in a city that is not built for the traffic it now takes.
The hotel itself is slightly outside of the town so parking is easy as it has some on site. First impressions of the hotel are that it is more of a guest house which was hinted at on their website.

We were shown our room which was right down in the basement and it was tiny. The bathroom only had a shower, no window and you could only fit one person in at a time. The room above and people around us were clearly audible, the whole place was very creaky which we could clearly hear.
The room was clean but again something about it just ave the impression that it was a bit shabby, not anything in particular.
We stayed in a standard double and the bed was comfortable and enough pillows and blankets were provided for us. There were bedside tables provided and a small TV. We had tea and coffee making facilities which we made use of in the morning.
We did not eat or drink in the hotel as we went into town, to be honest I dont think I would want to eat in there as I may well have felt a bit uncomfortable doing so.
Town was a short walk away which was very easy as instructions were given in the hotel bumph. It was downhill all the way and quite steep so I woud not recommend it on an icy day. We got a taxi back from town as we didn't fancy the walk back up the hill again. I could not tell you how much it cost to get back as I can't remember much about the end of the night!
We were given a front door key as well to get in as front reception was closed by the time we got back. Breakfast was included in our fee (£80) but we were too hung over to get up on time to try it! When we checked out I had to ring the bell and wait for a while for someone to come and take my money which I found a bit odd. If I had not been honest we could have just run because they didn't take a card swipe on arrival.
