Park Lodge Guest House is situated in Hull, East Yorkshire, just off one of the main roads running from the town centre. It gets it name from the large park next door, which is a great place and I will talk about it in a bit. It has been operating as a guest house for about 20 years, but just over 1 year ago it was down-sized. It used to have 11 guest bedrooms, and was comprised of two large houses and a smaller building, but the other main house was sold, and the smaller building converted. Riverbank Park Plaza - hotel is cheap and convenient for West End

Advantages: Cheap if you get a discount, very convenient for West End
Disadvantages: Rooms not ready, facilities that didn't work, requests that got lost, wrong keys for room

The Riverbank Park Plaza is a mid-price four-star hotel located on London's Embankment, about 10 minutes walk (with heavy suitcase) from Vauxhall and 20 minutes from Waterloo. It is a comfortable hotel with plenty of lifts, which are definitely needed if you find yourself on the seventh floor. This is not a cheap part of the world to be staying in, and the prices here reflect that. However, if you book ages in advance, then you may be lucky like we were and find a special deal. We went here in July 2009 and the rooms cost about £80 per night. To get this deal, we booked several months in advance and found a special offer which was valid if we booked two consecutive nights. CHELSEA LODGE HOTEL -acceptable accomodation

Advantages: cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: not classy but perfectly adequate overnight, but bed not good

CHELSEA LODGE HOTEL 268 FULHAM ROAD LONDON SW10 9EW 10 min walk from Fulham Broadway tube, same to Earls Court I stayed on Saturday 25 October 2008 because of its (reasonably) close proximity to Earls Court where I was attending an exhibition. There was another similar rated hotel behind the underground station but it was reported to be very noisy and I thought a 10 minute walk from hotel to destination would be refreshing, which it was. This hotel is on a busy main road on the corner of a junction, but inside the big old building you were not really aware of this. I think the hotel just had about 14 rooms in total, so not a busy place. The hotel receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and efficient.
