A large safari park between Kidderminster and Bewdly. It's easy to get to from main motorways. It is also signed from most main roads which are easy to follow and take you straight to where you want to be.
You can choose to either drive around the safari park first or go into the main area which has a petting zoo, displays, shops and much more. Once you get there, there is plentiful parking for both cars and coaches, it's free to park and disabled parking is available nearer to the entrance. As you enter there is a row of shops in a covered area with a gift shop that you can visit either then or on your way out, there is a shop to purchase foods such as ice cream and fudge and various drinks, which can be enjoyed on your way around the attraction.
There are displays going on all day including sea-lion displays, reptile encounters and much more which are brilliant for both children and adults to encounter and learn about different species that can not be seen everyday. They have hippo lake which you can walk across and watch the hippos in the river from a safe distance, with a gift shop at the end of the bridge.
There are various rides suitable for both children and adults making it an all around great day out with varied things to do. There are varied fun stalls with play and win games. As well as amusement attraction arcades.
The safari park itself has a wide range of endangered and exotic animals to encounter, some of the animals are safe to feed from your car so you can get closer than ever. West Midlands Safari has a large collection of very rare white lions that can only be seen there. There are also other animals to see including, lions, tigers, wild dogs, wallabies, wild deer, giraffe, zebra and much more. It is quite a long way around the park and you can also go around on a guided tour coach that the safari park runs at regular intervals. You can go around the safari park as many times as you like but it does take last entrance at around 5pm. All the animals through out the park look happy, healthy safe and relaxed in their environment far from what you would see at a city zoo.
It is around £10.50 to get in which is rather expensive and has gone up drastically in the last few years, animal food and programmes can be bought at an extra cost. Ride tickets and wristbands are also at an extra cost. You do however get a free return ticket to use on your next visit and then when you use that you will get a half price voucher on your next visit.
West Midlands Safari Park is open at several intervals throughout the year details of which can be found on their website. They have a very informative website to help you plan the perfect day out. They also have various events on throughout the year that there are also details of on their website, along with details on how to get to the safari park via public transport.
I would definitely recommend this attraction to other people as a fun filled day out for all the family, both children and adults will find it a great day out, it is a lot more fun in the summer when the weather is nice as you can do more and see more throughout the park.
