Well a day out to the seaside was needed. So thats what we did, packed the car and headed to Weston Super MAre, Located off the M5, below Bristol, and above Exeter, it is is easy to get to by car. Followed the signs to PARKING on the BEACH, and ended up down by the sea front, drove along the front past the Grand Pier, and into a carpark £1.00 an hour (gulp)
There is plenty to do at Weston, we enjoy walking along the Prom, and up the pier. There are loads of amusments arcades, tea shops, ice cream stands, and chippies.
The Beach was nice and clean, in fact the whole place was clean and tidy.
They have a land train that was operating, and the RNLI gift shop was open.
Plenty of guest houses and B&B line the streets, and loads of clubs and pubs line the Prom. The high street and shopping centre have every high street shop you would want.
Wekll worth a day out or a holiday, even in October.
