Popular with expats who come to watch the football that's shown live via satelite, Whispers is far more than you expect from your standard expat pub. It's got great food - massive portions of international, Romanian and even British favourites at tip top prices - and the staff are just the right side of freindly. Well worth a visit.
Advantages: lots of quality classical music Disadvantages: none
...One of the most magnificent places to hear classical music performed is at the Romanian Athenaeum, Strada Franklin 1 (tel: (01) 315 6875). This splendid 19th-century building - looking like Bucharest's answer to London's St Paul's Cathedral - presents a fairytale backdrop, splendid acoustics and plays host to the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and other top performances. The lobby has a beautifully painted ceiling decorated in gold leaf and curved balconies cascading in ringlets of spiral staircase. A ring of pink marble columns is linked by flowing arches, where elaborate brass lanterns hang like gems from a necklace. Inside the concert hall, voluptuous frescoes cover the ceiling and walls. ...Well Bucharest is capital of Romania. But I really dont like this city. Is very huge. Lot of misery, aurolacs. Almost every step you make you will meet beggers and huge amount of misery. Of course there are some parts of Bucharest that are pretty beautifull like parks. But those are just a few. Advantages: Good service, reliable Disadvantages: only 1 direct flight per day between london and bucharest.
...This is a review on the flight between the journey from London to bucharest using Tarom Airlines. The flight is from Heathrow airport terminal 2 to Otopeni airport.
When you arrive at Heathrow airport if you need to pick up tickets for Tarom airlines then you go to the Luftansea ticket desk as Tarom does not have its own ticket desk at Heathrow.
The checkin at terminal 2 has two different ques for the Tarom flight to bucharest and the flight number is RO392. One que is for business customers and the other is for normal customers.
Aftre this you need to go through security. Make sure you remember the new rules on liquids in hand luggage. No liquids over 100ml or containers over 100ml.
Once you have gone through security you need to go into departures lounge and finally you will board the plane.
Tarom have one flight from London...
