I started boarding this spring, on a trip to Heavenly at Tahoe with my Aunt! I have to say that it was the best experience of my life, and believe me, I've had a few! After 3 days of riding I was at level 6 (/8). This shows just how easy the sport can be - 'though I've heard that skiers can have a harder time of it than total beginners! By the end of the week I'd caught come phat air (OK maybe not althat phat!) but I'd been doing 360's and ollies, and I was SO into it! This has to be the best sport on the planet. I have to recommend this to anyone with a pulse! The things you have to remember are: 1. how can you get to the top if you're too scared to take a breath and walk? 2. self preservation doesn't make posters, and 3. pain is temporary, bones heal, scars look cool, but glory lasts forever!
