The white hart hotel is situated opposite Kingston bridge on the Hampton wick side of the river. The hotel opened in 2001 and is said to be 'the most attractive hotel in the Kinston area,' although it was only rated three stars by the English regional tourist board. From what I made of the hotel when I stayed there I would rate it at four stars. The rooms are furnished in an old style but to a high standard, there is a lovely secluded courtyard area at the rear of the hotel and there is free parking for guests. The car park is also situated at the rear of the hotel and is barrier operated, so you're car is relatively safe. At the front of the hotel there is a pub and restaurant, which is open daily both to guests and non-guests. These are traditional in style and offer some nice drinks and have an excellent food menu. There is a also a nice garden area in front of the hotel with tables and chairs, enabling you to sit in the sun on a nice day and watch the world go by.

Each room is equipped with the following:
Sky Tv
Trouser Press
Hairdryer
Tea and Coffee making facilities
Ample bathroom towels

In addition to the room features the hotel offers:
Room service, laundry service and dry cleaning
Restaurant, bar, 24 hour reception desk, elevator, express check in and out
Wireless internet is also available anywhere in the hotel at a charge of £5.00/hour
Pets are also allowed in the hotel but additional charges may apply

I found when staying at the hotel that not only was it a nice place to stay but the location was fantastic. If you walk over Kingston bridge you are literally in the centre of Kingston which has many shops, bars and restaurants. Not much further is Kingston station which will take you into London and there are many bus routes available. The only downside to the hotel was the price, rooms start from £100.00 and rise up to £170.00 for the top suites, which is quite expensive. In total there are 37 rooms at the hotel so there is lots of variety to choose from and this is shown in the price you pay. On the whole I thought it was a very nice hotel, the food in the restaurant is fantastic and the bar at the front is great to unwind in when the weather is nice because you can sit outside. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people who are staying for a few days, but if you need a longer stay then it may not be the best hotel to go for as it is rather small. ****
