"...that drive. To get to Whitehaven beach, you will need to rent your own boat or join one of the many boat parties that go out to Whitehaven. One thing to note.. the boats tend to be quite small sailing boats or catamarans and they tend to take about 2 days to get there as they like to sail you around the other islands which is well worth it. We went on a 2 night, 3 day adventure on a small sailing boat which somehow managed to house 10 of us beneath ..." Read review

"...the distance. Today we stopped at Whitehaven beach - regularly named in the top 10 beaches in the worls. Six kilometres of clear white sand - unbelievable! This sand is so pure, it is 99% silica and used for cleaning jewellery. There is also a small walk that goes through the bush and only takes 10-15minutes each way. This takes you up to a lookout where you can see right across an inlet which produces lots of different shades of blue and white ..." Read review

Advantages Whitehaven is the most beautiful beach in the world, the Barrier reef is amazing, colourful fish and coral!

Disadvantages eeeeerrrrrrrrmmmmmmm, you have to pay i guess thats a disadvantage!

"...2nd day we got to whitehaven beach we spent about 5hours there relaxing playing football cricket and swimming! i'd stay there for the rest of my life if i could and when i win the lottery i will be buying one of the 6-7 houses that were set on those islands!if anybody wants to lend me the money to go back please do!lol! I would write a downside but the only one or two that i can think of is that its the other side of the world from England and ..." Read review
