Advantages: It's covered in case it rains, nice range of shops and restaurants, not expensive! Disadvantages: Quite a small centre, limited stores for men

The shopping centre itself is open from 8.30-midnight every day, including Sundays, although the majority of stores don't open until 10am and close around 8pm, although there are a good few which stay open until 10pm. The opening and closing times varies greatly from store to store.
Getting there
*****************
The closest station ... ...out of the station and Whiteleys is on the corner of the second turning on your left - you can't miss it! You can get to Queensway station on the central line, or jump on a bus, there is a bus stop just a couple of minutes away! (The website states buses 12, 23, 27, 36, 70 and 98 all stop closeby).
Parking is quite expensive, starting at £1.50 for an hour, going up to £7 for four hours and £50 for anything over 12 hours (eek!)

Advantages: Open late, many shops and restaurants, central, cinema Disadvantages: None?
Whiteleys is great - a gorgeous building, lots of cool shops, centrally located in Bayswater/Queensway, cinema, art gallery, themed restaurants - and it's all open later than virtually everywhere else in London! LOCATION
Whiteleys is located on Queensway, between the Queensway and Bayswater tube stations and Westbourne Grove. It's a great area, as Queensway itself is so busy and happening, and there are lots of places to shop and eat on Queensway ... ...reason why I shop at Whiteleys - the late opening hours. London can be so frustrating with its early closings, but at Whiteleys you shop until about 9.30pm or later. This is especially great around Christmas time. SHOPS
You'll find a lot of main high street shops in Whiteleys: the Body Shop, Muji, Warehouse, Oasis, Jigsaw, Accessorise, Whitards, Tower Records. My partner complains that there aren't many (any?) good men's clothing shops in there, ...

Advantages: Good location, Convenient Shopping Disadvantages: Can get busy
Queensway is one of my favourite parts of London and I have stayed there several times in flats owned by Malaysian family friends. The most convenient place to go shopping nearby is the ultra-modern,one-stop-shopping mall of Whiteleys. My husband told me it was once upon a time a very traditional department store but today it a bright and breezy place and I can spend the whole day shopping for things to take back to Malaysia. There are loads of good ... ...the West End to buy clothes, lingerie,English china, blouses for my daughter, its all available at Whiteleys. There are branches of Marks and Spencers,Benneton, and loads of other small shops. Its nice after a shopping spree to put your feet up and relax over a cup of tea and again there is ample choice as regards eateries and cafes at this huge complex. I am not much of a movie fan but there is even a cinema if you want to see a film. ...

Advantages: Many shops, cafes Disadvantages: Not huge, shops not that interesting
Whitelys is a large shopping centre in Bayswater, which is on the District and Circle lines in West London. The development has a very friendly atmosphere and many general meeting points, such as a fountain.
The shops are mainly books and clothes. There is a Books etc, some clothes shops and other things such as a gadget shop and stationery shop. An internet cafe on the second floor is also useful. In the way of eating, there is a McDonalds, a ... ...a great deal, but there are some restaurants outside the development. Another thing which makes many people come here is the cinema, UCI Whitelys. This is quite large, but the prices are high (£7.50 at peak times).
Outside the development there are many other shops and restaurants, most notably an Our Price, which compensates for the lack of any CD shops in Whitelys. In general, this is quite a nice development and area, but not for teenagers. ...

Advantages: A good range of shops.eateries,a cinema and well located Disadvantages: Busy, especially at weekends
If you have tired of wandering around the west End,gawking at pictures in galleries or if its pouring with rain, then a great shopping mall to make a beeline for is Whiteley's in Queensway. There is so much to do there. You can shop til you drop, sip red wine and see the world go by,slurp a cup of gourmet coffee, watch a movie or eat til your heart's content.
The mall has loads of shops. There is a branch of Marks and Spencers, Tower Records,Muji, ... ...are trendy and family oriented eateries, wine bars, and gourmet coffee houses to relax in and last time I was there Michael Barrymore was hosting a talent show in the foyer. Its always seems to attract a lot of visitors from continental Europe, the Middle East, Singapore,Malaysia,Hong Kong, and the Middle East. There are a lot of wealthy people from the Middle and Far East with apartments in the Queensway and Bayswater areas.
