The Wine Valley Lodge is a vintage motel built in the California Mission-style located just off Highway 29 at Imola Avenue and Coombs Street. This rustic adobe style motel is arranged in a plaza setting around a pool creating a resort atmosphere at an affordable price. This lodge in the heart of the Napa Valley has an interesting story to tell.

Hunter Valley has wonderful scenery and is home to a large wine and coaling industries. To the south it stretches from Goulburn River and Wollemi National Park and right up to Barrington Tops National Park to the North. Lower Hunter is where most of the vineyards can be found but Upper Hunter also has vineyards as well as horse breeding and racing. During the year there are festivals and it is a great place for music from folk, jazz and even opera. In the Hunter there are several galleries and museums to see.
You can get various tours to Hunter Valley from Sydney or you could hire a car and drive to it yourself. It might be hard to find places however if you drove I would imagine. We chose to take a guided tour, it cost us $95 and included a stop off at the Australian Reptile Park as well which I thought was great value for money ...
Advantages: Great Wine, Great Castles, Great People.....those are kick a** advantages Disadvantages: It's not really easy to access via Train, you really do need to have a Car to fully appreciate it
other than Paris (which I would recommend....there is SO MUCH more to France than Paris), take in this Chateau. I've been to dozens of them in France, and this one is without a doubt the most impressive.

The Loire Valley is littered with Vineyards. Especially in the area of Cheverny and Chinon. Many French will have mixed feelings about the wines in this area. They'll say Bordeaux is the King of Vineyards, but I'm not sold on that. The Loire Valley has a very broad amount of wines available. Even if you consider yourself a namby pamby wine afficianado, you cannot refute the quality of grapes in this region. The Muscadat is a special type of grape unique to the region. ~What's this place all about then?~
The Valley of the Queens is the burial site for the Queens & children of the Pharaohs of the 18th, 19th & 20th dynasties (1550 - 1070BC). It is said that there are about 70 (some claim as many as 85) different burial sites in the area.
Probably the most famous tomb here is that of Queen Nefertari*, which is the largest and most spectacular in the valley. Unfortunately, this tomb is now no longer open, we were told by our guide that a couple of years ago there was some rain in the valley, which caused some damage to Nefertari's tomb.
