I have only used Wizz Air on the Liverpool - Katowice route. Using Liverpool airport is a God send because I don't have to use Manchester. At the other end Katowice's airport is small, not many planes land there each day. This is just the way I like it!!
Booking online is fairly simple like other budget carriers. There are more and more destinations opening up into central and eastern europe. Flights also leave UK airports from Luton, Glasgow and from Sept 19th Doncaster. Most routes tend to be to Polish cities.
There are words of warning about flying with Wizz. Firstly please becareful if on an advert it says Liverpool to Krakow with Wizz Air. The flight is to Katowice Airport (good way north of Katowice) which is nearly 2 hours drive away. Wizz do operate a bus or mini-bus to Krakow but this first drives into the city centre of Katowice and seems to take forever! Secondly the flights can be at unsocialable times, such as arriving early hours of the morning or leaving 6 am in the morning. Thirdly the taxes seem to be higher when booking through Wizz.
Apart from this when I have flown with them, they have been on time and I have always managed to get a good price with them.
Food and drink can be bought on board, although I would think that you should take your own on board. Prices are high and the quality of the snacks are poor.
Wizz are along with Ryanair, Easyjet and SkyEurope, are one of the airlines that I keep a good eye on their websites for good deals and offers. Thats the best way to use Budget Airlines if you can.
Finally always my number one concern is that I get to my destination safely and not too late. Free newspaper and food does not bother me at all. Wizz Air are just another budget airline offering what you need and not what you don't.
Wizz through the sky with WizzAir:)

Not ione we're likely to use as neither Liverpool nor Katowice are convenient for us. We have used BA, LOT and Central Wings (Gatwick to Krakow) - Central Wings were just as good at a fraction of the cost, whilst last Christmas finished up flying Ryanair from Rzeszow to Stanstead - the Polish end was fine, Stanstead the usual nightmare. As usual this Christmas we'll be driving out there - and hopefully back too! Richard.

Record Rent a Car is present in the main spanish airports and has a very wide fleet. We offer: exceptional discounts, free additional drivers,
unlimited mileage... subscribe to our Club Record and take advantage of special offers.
Advantages: None as they cancelled the service that I paid for Disadvantages: They cancel flights without informing customers, leave you stranded with no way of getting home
