I used Wizz Air for a business trip from Luton airport to Katowice airport. Overall, I was impressed by the service from a low cost airline. Probably knowing that it was low-cost also helped to manage my expectations.
Check in at both Luton and Katowice was relatively easy. Yes, there were queues, but i don't know of any airline that doesn't have queues these days. The check in staff were friendly and helpful.
Crowd control at the departure gate seemed non-existant. There were people trying to push and shove from all angles. Again, this is what i would expect from a low-cost airline (eg Easyjet, Ryanair). I had a priority boarding card, but there appeared to be no line to take advantage of this. I had to be a bit brutal, and push my way around to the front (shouting "priority boarding" and waving my card around so that people didn't think i was being too rude to them!).
Saying this, not many people had opted for priority boarding, so myself and my work colleagues literally had the pick of seats, and more importantly, we could get seats next to each other so we could work on the flight.
The plane itself was modern (i think the average age of the fleet is only 3 years old), and although the purple/pink colour isn't to my liking, at least it was clean. Service was the usual drinks trolley down the aisles, and duty free was then offered. The cabin crew were friendly, and seemed to be interacting well with other passengers.
On arrival, all of our bags came through without any real problems. There was the usual baggage carousel wait at Luton airport - but that is down to ground control rather than Wizz itself.
There are no "outstanding" perks, complimentary drinks and suchlike as other airlines (eg BA) do, but we were going for business not pleasure. Even if it was pleasure, i'm sure i can wait for 2 1/2 hours before needing to eat (as that's about the time it takes to fly from the UK to Poland).
Would i use Wizz Air again? The answer is definately "yes". For the cost, it is a very cheap way of getting to poland, it feels clean and safe, and the staff were friendly.
