Straight away I went onto the internet to take a look at their website, it was on here that I discovered they did various Special Experiences; one of these happened to be a VIP Tour with a Ranger, where you get right up close ... ...have still yet to visit) Woburn Abbey which belonged to the Russell family in 1619; centuries later in the early 19th to be exact the current owner of that time which was the 6th Duke of Bedford commissioned Humprey Repton (a renowned landscaper of that time) to make a pleasure ground, garden and menagerie around the Abbey. This was completed and originally contained exotic birds such as peacocks and swans, also some exotic animals like antelopes ...

...“There’s a sign to Woburn Safari Park!” I shouted, so hubby left the M1 at Junction 13 and followed the clear signs.
Sadly, after checking their website, I found out that there is no public transport to Woburn Safari Park. I would imagine that it is a popular destination for coach tours though, so check out your local operator, if that is the best option for you. It is 8 miles from Milton Keynes.

...our vouchers to get into Woburn Safari Park. I had very vague memories of visiting there as a child myself and knew I’d enjoyed it. So after some frantic present opening first thing in the morning, we set off south down the M1.
Woburn is a small town just south-east of Milton Keynes and is home to the safari park and Woburn Abbey. It is easily accessible from J13 of the M1 or the A5. It is fairly central for most places situated about an hours drive ... ...Deer are kept on the Woburn Abbey estate and are a common sight in the safari park grounds.
A few yards further and we paid our entrance fee (details at the end of the review) and were also handed a map of the park. For an extra £1.50 we purchased a commentary tape which can be played as you drive around the safari circuit. This is also available on CD. Advantages: Great to get up close to the animals and see them in their own habitat. Disadvantages: High Price compared with other days out.
...Tesco Clubcard vouches I spotted Woburn Safari Park. We had already used the vouchers for a number of theme parks so thought this would make a nice change.
We stayed in Luton for our visit which was around a 10 minute drive from the Park.

Woburn Safari Park is approximately one hour's drive from London, Oxford, Cambridge and Birmingham. Follow signs to Woburn Safari Park from the M1 junction 12 or 13.
From the A5, follow signs ... ...Woburn Safari Park Woburn Park Bedfordshire MK17 9QN
We found if you came off at J12 you drove through Woburn Village and it took longer, however J13 is more direct to the Park. When you leave the Park you will be directed back through the village to J12 so you won't miss seeing the village with its' 200+ listed buildings if you come in on the more direct route.
As the park is situated just off the motorway it is easiest reached by car. However ...

Woburn Safari Park is in a small village in Bedfordshire just off the M1. It's really well signposted and very easy to get too..
Woburn safari park has been there since the 1970's as is dedicated to the conservation of many endangered animals.
Me and my husband took my sisters two boys, we had already taken them to most of the zoos in England and was looking for somewhere different to take them this time, i searched in Google and Woburn Safari ... ...I would highly recommend Woburn as its a great day out for all ages..theres so much to see and do and the kids had a great day, they also learned quite a lot about endagered animals too! We will definately be going back to Woburn in the very near future, the kids are already asking when we can next go back!
