I believe that it is cruel and pitiless to keep animals caged up in zoos, when they should be out in the nature, where they belong. Animals have the same rights as human beings- it is unfair because animals cannot have choices, they obviously can't speak to have their say, what they want and what they're opinions are- but that's no reason to treat them so poorly. We can use common sense to see that animals are unhappy with half a million people wondering around, staring at them and taking pictures. Animals were created to have freedom and wonder around. They were created to have fun and have nothing to do (unlike human beings- we have work and school etc)- they don't have priorities like us-, which is why they should be let out into freedom, and have their own free will. If I had to be in an animal shoes (Well not entirely their shoes- more like their bodies) for a day I would beyond doubt hate it! Having to be stared at by half a million people and having a camera flash right in your eyes! Most crucial- not be able to have FREEDOM! Humans would beyond doubt not like to be locked up in a cage - but we aren't -why? Because we can speak and we have the right to say what we want and take the choices we want…but what about animals?
Because the cant choose that, means we have to choose for them?…And what exactly do we choose for them?…We choose the wrong decision. We choose caging them up is the right alternative! Well this is the wrong decision! I, myself think it would be great if ALL animals would have the opportunity and rights to live in the freedom and have sovereignty and control over their own life! Animals have as much right as us human beings!
I'm a very animal-loving person and care for animals and hate seeing them being treated so unjustly. So when I found out about "Woburn safari park" I was delighted to know that animals were let out in the freedom! It felt so good to just know that the animals have the rights to walk, run and eat freely …whenever they want…wherever they want! They don't have specific times when to eat and when it's playtime and when to sleep. Most importantly they are happy and aren't annoyed by pestering people flashing cameras in their faces to take pictures and have crowded people staring at them! I was so happy to know the animals' free and enjoying themselves- it's a great feeling! I wish ALL animals could have that freedom and liberty. I think safari parks are much more respected by humans and animals because it's "nature." It's a natural living habitat for animals- so both animals would love to live there and human beings would admire it more for its fairness. Also safari parks are spacious- which means that there is "space" for animals to run and eat etc, which is so important since animals also need they're space and privacy, whereas in zoos they have a limited amount of space. I may be writing this as if animal are as important and loyal as humans- this Is because I think that they should be treated that way …they were created to live in the freedom and we were created to live in the in multitudes where there are many crowd of people (like in cities and towns etc) …so we live in our natural habitat and so should animals! I hope many agree with me. I absolutely love safari parks as they are loving and caring to animals, they give animals rights and freedom…I think very badly of zoos though.
Many people's ambitions and desires can come true by going to this safari park! Mostly Saturday and Sundays are very busy days though, as many people don't have work on those days, so I recommend you go on weekdays. It's quite far away though but very worth going. The exact directions to the park is briefly "Take exit 13 off the M1 motorway, or leave the A5 at Hockliffe for the A4012." It's approximately 1-2 hours drive to get there from London, Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford, Birmingham and Leicester. You get to take your own car and get to drive through the park experiencing amazing sights and seeing incredible animals and highlights. The ticket prices vary- there are 3 seasons to book on- winter season, main season and high season-
Winter season- Adult: £8.00 Child:£7.00 Main seaon- Adult: £15.00 Child: £11.50 High season: Adult:£16.00 Child: £13.00
So why is the high season the most expensive? Well this is because this is around summer time- which is the most recommended time of year to go.
You can experience these amazing "talks" and "demonstrations":
Elephant Encounters, Sea lion displays (indoors) and keeper talks (outdoors), Birds of Prey Flying Demonstrations , Animals and Birds in Action (including free flying parrots) , Keeper talks at feeding time: Monkey Business, Penguin World and Land of the Lemurs, Animal Fables-entertaining show with Woburn's animal characters (Bedfordshire Summer holidays and Spring Bank Holidays only),
Some of the animals you will get to see and encounter are:
You will be able to feel a vibe that makes you feel and realise that many of the animals are happy and happier than living in a cage. It will be so great to see all the animals doing what they love and have fun! Great feeling! It may be quite upsetting as you might not be lucky enough to get a closer look at some of the animals but I'm sure you would rather have them live peacefully and with comfort than pesting them…I definitely would!
I advise you go to http://www.woburnsafari.co.uk to find out more about the park.

Interesting review about the park. I do like it when people use a review to make a political statement about an issue unlike some of the brain dead Ciao community. So what surprised me is that, given your views and the words you used in the introduction, is that you were quite approving of this Safari park. As I understand it, of the animals you listed, a quick mental scan suggests not one is native to London or the British Isles... so probably none are in their natural environment whether they have a metal cage or not. I don't see any purpose of such places other than to mal-educate and amuse. But you give a strong view that this Safari offers something better than the average Zoo...well done, Pete xx
