Taking up an offer recently from my parents to take me to Woburn this Sunday just gone proved to make for one of the best days out I've had for a long while.

Entry to the park was £17 per adult and i believe it was £12 per child I think a child was classed as 12 or under. I thought this was quite expensive at first however when compared to other zoos and the experiance you get here it's very fairly priced indeed. I also enquired about a year ticket which costs £55 and allows you to visit as many times as you like in that year. You also get your ticket fee for the day refunded if you buy it there and then.
Once in you can go round the safari as many times as you like.

We arrived at the park just before opening which is 10am and were let in promptly and didn't have to queue for very long. On the way in you will see Bison, Zebra, and the Elephants are in a seperate encosure running parallel to here. The next enclosure you enter contains the rhinos and also a few other species. This part was pretty good as the rhinos are happy to be close up to the cars.

Then we went into the Tiger Pen which you have to go through a set of holding gates before going into their enclosure. There are 2 tigers here which we didn't see very well first time round, but one got pretty close to us second time round.

After this there are black bears which were very close to the edges of the roads, and quite often break car wing mirrors. In the same enclosure are the wolves. We were lucky to arrive at feeding time for the wolves so got some pretty good views of them.

The Lion Enclosure was after this which was amazing as there are loads of lions here and we had a couple wander out in front of our car. However most of them were laid up in the middle as far away from the cars as possible.

Next was the monkey enclosure and there were loads of monkeys with babies which were tiny clinging on underneath them. There are two different species of monkey here the second of which you come across are the ones that like to jump on the car and pull bits off. You can by-pass this area and are warned before you enter.

After this there are giraffes, more zebras and camels amonsgt many animals i'm sure i've forgotten. From here you enter the Foot Safari where you can get close to and be in the enclosure with wallabies, spider monkeys and lamas amongst others. There is also a free flying aviary where you can walk in with the birds. You can buy two pots of nectar fluid to feed to the birds and they will quite happily sit on your hand.

Animal feeding times and all display times are displayed here as well. Displays include animals such as pirds of prey and sea lions and were fairly educational and interesting.

I would advise that you take a picnic with you as all food and drink prices are close to extortion, as are most of the items in the gift shop but that is my only complaint about the place.

Overall great value for money on entry prices as there is enough here to keep you amused all day and you will leave feeling you needed more than the time you spent there to look round.

It sounds like a packed day out - great description. The only thing I could think of that you might want to add are some examples of the food available and what sort of prices they cost, but other than that, a very detailed review.
