Advantages: Great route in terms of iconic london landmarks
Disadvantages: Poorly organised, expensive to enter, lack of water

like the first 100. They were allowed to all go off first. The remaining 29,900 people all had to push to get to the starting line and it was 30 minutes later by time me and my group got to the starting line. Because 2 of my party were by now desperate for the loo they went off to use a cafes facilities and because of the crush didn't get reunited again with the remaining 3 of us. So they did the race alone which was sad. The other big factor that the race organisers fell down on at this point was the fact that although the temperature reached 32 degrees before the race began no water was distributed among waiting runners. There were also no toilets at all in this area which meant people were running off to wee in St James's Park or just going by the road side. British 10K Charity race in London

Advantages: Great Route through City Centre.Very Colourful
Disadvantages: Can be quite hot in London in summer with Global warming

Can be quite hot in London in summer with Global warming which means I sweat quite abit when in a race like this fabulous one that happens each summer in London.I quite like spring and autumn runs where there is oftern a cooling breeze.But I do not like cross country races. My wife first did this British 10K race down there in London and suggested I try as it was easier than a marathon and much less likely to get a foot injury. The runners at the front are always very fast, so I plod along at the back and have a chat with the other people and look at some of the odd costumes people wear.One guy had a hippopotomus suit on which I thought alittle over the top. This run has the prime spot in the centre of the city,so is easy and convenient to get to and from.I wouldn't try bringing a car though as Leicester square and Piccadily ...

Review of British 10K

The British 10K London Road Race

Advantages: Wonderful Course,Easy to do,Middle of Summer.Very freindly people.Not too long a run.
Disadvantages: No disadvantages that I witnessed.

the tropics-a dry heat, and this caught organisers out that year.So they learned to be prepared. Although I like running,I do not like long races as I get bored and tired easily.But at 10K this race is really just fine.The price of entry is very modest-I paid £17. I hear the London marathon charge a charity runner over £300 to enter their marathon,(I run for a blind children charity).And there city run at 5k is about £25 to enter.So in comparison this race is very modest. What I especially like and enjoy with this British 10K run is that the finish in Whitehall is very near to the restaurants and cafes in Soho.5 minute walk,and me and my freinds have usually made a day of it after the run having coffee and meals there and followed up with a visit to the cinema.Leicester Square is literally just a hair's breath away.And with such ...
