Advantages: Great location for exploring Warwick or RLS Disadvantages: Eratic customer service and staff abilities
I?m torn between writing a glowing report of a hotel that is in a perfect position for travellers and business people alike or one that tears into the staff for their failings.
LOCATION
Firstly this hotel is in an odd position, just outside Royal LeamingtonSpa itself on a Retail Park / Business Estate, which isn?t as bad as it sounds but don?t expect stunning views of the surrounding countryside if you?re on the wrong side of the hotel! Incidentally, ignore the hotel blurb that says it ?overlooks? Warwick Castle ? IF you are on the right side of the hotel you can just about see the castle on a good day.
It was built as a Marriott Hotel which has been taken over by the Holiday Inn chain who is owned by the InterContinental Hotels Group, they are best known in the UK for the Holiday Inn brand and Crowne Plaza hotels.

Advantages: Good rooms, well organised conference facilities Disadvantages: If you aren't there for a conference, you could feel very 'left out'.
I'm a member of an industry association that holds a two day meeting every year in spring and we move the venue around between different hotels, typically in the Midlands. I travelled down from the North West on the day of the conference and my sat nav had no problems finding the hotel. When I pulled off the road into the car park I found a very beautiful old building that looked like a Victorian vicarage but was completely swamped by the size of the new wing. As so often happens, the website shows lots of pictures of the old building and not so many of the rather characterless red-brick block that provides most ...
Advantages: Relaxing, Spacious, Calming, Good Facilities, Excellent Service Disadvantages: Not Exactly Cheap
Beechdown is located in Kempshott, Basingstoke and offers a health and beauty complex suitable for all the family. My experience of Beechdown is limited to the Day Spa facilities and the beauty treatments on offer; as such this review will predominately cover those areas. However I will give an overall evaluation of the facilities available.
Booking
Booking my day out was easy, the telephone numbers for each area of the complex can be located on the website www.beechdown.co.uk. I called the beauty booking number and was requested by a voicemail to leave a message as my call could not be taken. My call was returned the following day by an apologetic lady who had been on leave the day before. I booked 2 day spas, 2 Blissful Facials and 2 full body massages as well as 2 eyebrow shaping treatments, for my mum and me. When ...
