The address; Hurst Street Birmingham B5 4TD. *Broad Street* This is a long street full of clubs, bars, pubs and restaraunts. I won't name them all as there are too many and I can't remember all of their names, and I havn't been to all of them. Advantages: Beautiful hotel in charming gardens and quiet location
Disadvantages: Not enough heating and a bit bizarre

...-independence days only three people were entitled to take a carriage (or later a car) down the main pedestrian street, The Mall. These were the Viceroy, the Commander in Chief and the Governor of the Punjab. So it's fair to say that in Shimla society the C in C was a Big Cheese. The house was later sold to His Highness Maharaja Bhagvat Sinh of Gondal State in Western Indian who bought it as a gift for his daughter, Rani Leila Ba of Jubbal State. The old house was ripped down and the present Woodville Palace was built on the site in 1938. I think it's fair to say that it feels older. Rajkumar Uday Singh, who is the grandson of the Rani Leila then opened Woodville Palace to the public as a heritage hotel in 1977 - ironically at a time when it was less than 40 years old. Heritage is a relative thing it would seem. His family still live in the hotel... Read review
