Advantages: Lovely rooms, nice touches like petals on your bed Disadvantages: Some may find the location too far from Hua Hin centre
...We stayed at Kaban Tamor in December 2002. It's a lovely small resort in Khao Takiab on the outskirts of HuaHin.
The rooms are cute little round bungalows and were spotlessly clean and very romantic - they sprinkled petals on your bed every morning which we thought was lovely.
The restaurant was good - we had lunch there several times but only ate there a couple of times at night as we preferred to go into HuaHin centre. It was quite romantic at night, as you can sit at candlelit tables very close to the sea. The food was authentic and spicy, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was fine, perfectly adequate but nothing special, as is the norm in most Thai hotels. The pool is quite small but very refreshing to swim in and was rarely too busy when we were there - it could be hard to get a sun lounger round the pool though...

...Well, HuaHin is not much far from Bangkok, only 3 hours southwest of Bangkok. I have known that here is claimed as the Thailand's oldest beach resort. This beach is located in the western side of Thai Gulf,in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, here is very peaceful and essentially relaxing. I don't like Pattaya, where is very crowded....as well as the water sport is provided overthere.
I can give you some example places to visit if you can visit there...Khao Tao, Khao-Sam-Roi-Yot where is a National Park-there is a famous cape to see but i forgot the name...well, there's not bad to spend one of your weekend,i think........

Advantages: Lovely Staff, Excellent Food, Very Clean, Easy to Upgrade Room, Very Relaxing Disadvantages: A bit of a drive to Hua Hin, the nearest town. Beach not fantastic.
...every need, the rooms and facilities are amazing. I can not describe how good the food is and with three different restaurants on site, your always spoilt for choice. There a great poolside BBQ for your daytime treats or service to your lounger from the bar.
There are many spa's and treatment rooms if you want to pamper yourself during the day, just ask your butler for advice!
The hotel arranges various trips and excursions daily that are very good value for money such as elephant riding, cruises and visiting various landmarks. All great.
I would go back to Evason HuaHin every year if I wasn't so inquizative about discovering the rest of the country! I definately plan to go back.
One of the best holidays I've ever had, thanks Evason....
