Yes Man is a comedy starring Jim Carrey. The film is based on a book by Danny Wallace and basically tells the story of a man who starts to say ?Yes? to every opportunity that comes his way regardless of what it is. Interestingly enough Danny Wallace makes a little appearance sitting at the bar, I knew it was him as I had seen him on Richard and Judy some time ago talking about his book and his experiences of deciding to say yes to every opportunity.
The main character in the film is Carl Allen who is played by Jim Carrey. Carl is a bit of a miserable man, he says no to everything at work and in his personal life. Advantages: Quite amusing in parts/its quite lighthearted but makes you think, not long winded, the characters Disadvantages: Its quite predictable, perhaps not overly realistic at the start/mid way through (read review)

Carl Allen is an unhappy man who shies away from alot of things, preferring to spend time with himself. His friend often calls him to invite him out with friends for the night but he wants to avoid running into his ex-wife so he does't take the calls. One day, he's told about a personal development program, which he attends a local seminar on, where they explain that in order to move on and become a happier and more positive person, you have to say yes and not no and good things will come from it. He's quite sceptical at first but his friend encourages him to follow through and it doesn't take long before a number of random events takes place which leads to good things happening in his life, in his personal and work life. Advantages: Quiet Disadvantages: Intermittent hot water, ants! Quiet! very small rooms.

There was a man staying in the hotel that used a wheelchair, inside the hotel were ramps, but I haven't a clue how he got in from the street because there were only a few steep steps leading to the entrance, there may have been another entrance but I never found one.
Ah! I haven't mentioned the ants. Ants? I hear you ask. Yes, we had ants in our room but we bought some ant spray in a great little shop that seemed to sell everything and so long as we remembered to spray (cough, choke,) it round the edges of the floor every evening and morning we managed to stop them sharing our bed.
