...there was a branch of Yo! Sushi near where I was staying, I HAD to take advantage of it. So I persuaded the boyfriend to come for his first sushi experience, and off we went!
Walking into the restaurant itself is bizarre (the branch we went to is in the O2 shopping centre in Finchley Road, but I've heard they're all the same). You sit at a large, ring-shaped table, which has the kitchen in the centre of it, so you can see the food being prepared ... ...to the table is a conveyor belt with two separate belts, each going in opposite directions. The purpose of these? Well, the chefs put the food on them, and you take what you want, naturally! To be honest, this was all I really noticed about the decor, as everything else seemed rather dull in comparison!
Basically, when you get to the restaurant, a waiter or waitress will show you to an available seat somewhere around the table. It's completely self-service ...

Advantages: Vast selection of dishes, great after early night flick. Disadvantages: Can work out a bit pricey if you don't keep an eye out.
...partner into taking us to YO! Sushi at the O2 Centre in Finchley Road. When we arrived there, we didn't have to worry about seating. All the seating was very conveniently arranged to run along side a food-carrying conveying belt. Now, personally, I think that's the most ingenious thing I've seen in a restaurant. The atmosphere was so relaxed, I would definitely recommend it as the ideal ‘after-work’ hang out. As we sat down, we were asked by one ... ...and the good thing about YO! Sushi is if you can't see what you want, all you have to do is ask one of the several chefs and they'll prepare it for you within minutes right in front of your very eyes (providing, of course, that it's actually listed on the menu - but most things are anyway). All dishes are priced differently, and the prices are indicated by the colour of the plate.
