Advantages Brilliant place, history, shopping
Disadvantages Cost of living is high compared to Leeds
York, a city I lived in for five years means so much more to me than the town I was born and brought up in. York has a great mix of the old and the new. The Minster, the multangular tower, Coppergate, Stonegate, the Bedern, Barley Hall, King's Manor, Micklegate House - the old parts of the city cry out to you from the distant past. The shopping area and all the new coffee shops that are springing up make it a very good town to go shopping in as well though.
The only thing that I didn't like about York during my student days was there are only three clubs and none of them are that good. Although the student night at Toffs was one of my favourite nights out of the week.
