Advantages: Great location, every need taken care of
Disadvantages: Price!

In The Middle Of The Yorkshire Countryside...

Advantages: Great big rooms which are very clean and spacious
Disadvantages: Really expensive meals that are not very good at all.

Very disappointing

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Expensive mistake

We have never been so disappointed with a supposedly 'luxury' hotel. Despite booking a 'deluxe' room, the room was tiny, the bath was stained and suitable only for the short of limb, the 'castle' view was of the castle car park and the deluxe package of fruit, wine, dressing gowns was no where to be found. It was all hard work, phoning reception to point out everything missing, being woken by the cleaners at 8.50 on a Sunday morning, and being given ...

Hen night at Marriott York

Advantages: Location, facilities
Disadvantages: maintenance/cleanliness

I spent an overnight weekend stay at this hotel earlier this year for my hen night. There was a group of 9 of us and we managed to get triple rooms (2 double beds) and the reception staff were helpful as I changed my booking twice due to numbers in my party.
