FINDING IT The hotel is quite difficult to find and not very well sign posted, however is just off of Fewster way in the centre of York. It is just on the edge of the canal and also very close to the river. ...warning, if you visit the Novotel website you will see two different room pictures, one with blue cushions, one with orange cushions. The ones with the blue cushions are the standard rooms and the ones with orange are presumably premier rooms. I spent an overnight weekend stay at this hotel earlier this year for my hen night. There was a group of 9 of us and we managed to get triple rooms (2 double beds) and the reception staff were helpful as I changed my booking twice due to numbers in my party. The hotel is greatly located a short taxi ride from city centre, costing about 7 pounds. The facilities were excellent and spending most of the afternoon in the spa it was a fairly cost effective ...
