The most amazing two weeks of my life!

Advantages: Hot, sunny, lovely people, wonderful island, lost of beautiful views
Disadvantages: had to come home!

...the day, we went to Zante town and spent money in jewelry stores, and drove through the mountains to see wonderful views. even meals were a mix of with my family and on our own, towards the second half of the holiday they were mostly on our own, thats how we like it. ...If you go to Zante please visit Spikeys Bar and let Kay know Sarah and George said hello and thank you for looking after George so well on his last day!! also go to the Olympic and try their amazing Tzatziki and see the giant pepper grinder, makes everyone giggle! Finaly whatever you do, DO NOT RENT ANYTHIGN FROM DENNIS next to Spikeys bar, he is locally known as Rent a Wrek and his stuff breaks down all tbe time, go to Alykanas or somewhere else ...

Review of Zante (Greece)

Easily the best Greek holiday you'll have!

Advantages: Hot weather, crystal clear water, stunning scenery, friendly locals
Disadvantages: Mosquitos!!

Zante was easily the best holiday I've ever been on. We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August and it didn't disappoint. Initially after booking the holiday Zante was all over the news due to Brits drunk abroad, someone had even drunk themsef to death! Luckily, we were staying in Alykanas rather than Laganas which is very much a Club 18-30 resort! Landing at the airport after a 3hr flight was a bit of a shock, it's tiny! You have to walk across ...
...air condititioning in 38 degree heat, but luckily you're only on it for a minute if that. The airport itself is very small, so there's no need to hang around. Alykanas is probably only a 30 minute drive from the airport but it took much longer as we were on a coach and had lots of stops. If you're used to holidays in Tenerife etc, you will be shocked as the landscape is almost barren and nowhere near as built! Lot's of olive trees and not much else ...

Zante a place to party!!

Advantages: Nightlife
Disadvantages: bit expensive

I went here last summer we had the best time ever, I would recommend you hire out quad bikes for the whole week it will get you around a lot easier, You dont have to walk around all the time in the hot weather, The clubs were not massive the were average, The two largest ones were club zero and badboys, Zero had more of the dance and house music, were badboys had more rnb and hip hop, The place is quite expensive, mainly during the day time, I remeber ...
...then said $3.50, i gave her the money and she just gave me a burger, i was really shocked, but there are other local restaurant that do have great and reasonably priced food, Nightlife is awsome, everyones partying till late and the strips is all lighted up and you can go to the clubs with your quad bikes. It is heaven on earth!

Advantages: Friendly atmosphere, inexpensive food, shipwreck beach
Disadvantages: none

Zante is a very beautiful island. When I went we stayed at the resort of Alikanas at Dannys hotel (near kali pigi). I regard this to be one of my most enjoyable holidays! The local people were very friendly, and the food was inexpensive. One location I would strongly reccommend going, would be 'Shipwreck Beach' (as featured in the photo) The photo does not exaggerate what it is like on this beach. ...wear in the sea, because although it looks like a soft white sandy beach it is very pebbley on hurts your feet. We went on a coach trip around the cliffs, which take you round the top of shipwreck beach for great scenic views. we also took a boat trip to the beach itself! zante - laganas

Advantages: fun, cheap, amazing
Disadvantages: absolutely nothing!

...many places i have visited zante was probably one of the best for a group holiday (most likely 18-30s). It is a fun place that is not too large yet has everything you could want. This resort in question here is Laganas the party capital of Zante. It offers so many shops and restaurants and an amazing night out with its strip of bars and clubs! drinks here are cheap and the atmosphere on a night out is amazing.
