My sister and i stayed on the east coast of Zanzibar Island at Jambiani village,We stayed for 7 nights at small hotel Mbuyuni Beach Village,the location was great, We had awasome time in our simple but clean thatched beach bungalow. The beach and the local peoples were great but be aware of low tide rotation the water rotates every 4 hours during the low tide you have to walk for 4 minutes for swim,but during the high tide there is no problem at all. note that most restaurants on this coast serve mainly sea food ,We hardly found one with full vegtarian menu, most the sea food are fresh "daily catch" During the day,you will find lots of local women on the beach that offer massage services for reasonable prices.
