Well, I absolutely adore this place. We go all the time! The food is amazing, really tasty, you always know you're going to get a good meal. And it's really good value, approximately £7.95 for a pasta dish, the same for a pizza. For a starter you're looking at about £4.95, and when you leave you feel full and not ripped off. The service is fabulous, friendly but not in your face and we love the buzzy, if slightly loud at times, atmosphere! The restaurant itself looks great and the open plan kitchen where you can see the big pizza oven is great.....
that is until a few weeks ago.....
I don't know what's happened?
We went with a couple of friends for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was sorely disappointed! The service was still good but the food was terrible. I ordered what I would normally, the spaghetti al pomodoro, (spaghetti and tomato sauce), and the pasta wasn't cooked! I was then told that it should be like that and I disagreed and they got me another portion, (while my friends got half way though their food), and when it came back it was cooked properly. I don't like being fobbed off! Even my friends said their pizza's tasted different and not nearly as nice as they had been for all this time we've been going. Really disappointed.
However, I must say that maybe in a few months time we will give it another chance, but it's really put me off for now. Give it a try yourselves though, it may just have been an off day?
