    Advantages Advantages A great family friendly theme park, something for everyone, compact, clean, thoughtful.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages I imagine it to be horrendously busy in high season

    On my recent holiday to Portugal it quickly became apparent that going out of season in early October had it's negatives as well as positives. On the plus side, it was blissfully quiet and uncrowded and screaming kids were in short supply. On the downside---well screaming kids were in short supply and my daughter was obviously missing company of children her own age. At 'almost' seven I'd imagined playmates on the beach while I watched on from behind my kindle on a sun lounger.     Advantages Advantages 4 in 1 park, fun for all the family, great day out, dolphin show

    Disadvantages Disadvantages I should have spent the whole day there, don't go in school holidays, food isn't great, expensive

    You may be wondering what Zoomarine is - is it a zoo? An aquarium? A water park? A theme park? In actual fact it's all of those! On a very recent holiday to Portugal I decided to take the family. The Zoomarine is situated in the Algarve in the South West of Portugal (there is also one in Italy which I haven't visited). We had hired out a car so it was easy for us to get to, it was about a 20 minute drive from Portomao. When we arrived at the Zoomarine the carpark was full.     On the information leaflet given to us by our holiday rep in the Algarve was an offer to go on the Zoomarine excursion. Loving all forms of sea life (from a distance) I was immediately planning what day would be best to go. We decided on Wednesday and promptly found our rep to book our trip. Booking & The Journey Our ticket voucher cost €27 each so €55 in total paid to our rep who rang through our booking confirmation.     Zoomarine is what would probably be called a Theme Park . However it is small compared to some , features living creatures more than fun-rides and , for me , was one of the highlights of a recent holiday to Portugal. We stayed in Albufeira on The Algarve which is the Southern coast of Portugal . Zoomarine was about a 10 minute coach ride from Albufeira . BOOKING ****************** You can book a visit through most of the local hotels and travel agents , book on-line or just pay an entrance fee on the day .     Disadvantages Disadvantages Mainly in August there's a lot a people in the park

    It's a great park with loads of fun for everyone. You can see many different shows (Dolphins, Birds, Sea Dolphins, etc), swimming pool, Cinema 4D, Rollercoaster, etc.You have Zoomarine bus from many places in Algarve that take us rigth to the park.I think it's the best park in the Algarve. The have an experience where you can swim with the dolphins that the call Dolphin Experience. I think that must be a great thing to do, but It's a bit expensive.I've bougth my tickets online in www.Portugal4fun.com with 15% discount.
