...Many motorists and their passengers regularly take a break on motorways. The services are an essential part of our road systems. Welcome break have many motorway service stations situated all over the UK, and they are all very similar. Fuel stations which are reasonably priced, seeing as though they are on a motorway! Many have a burger king,or Mcdonalds or a similar type of food outlet, the prices at these are the same as if you were buying food in the high street. The newsagents at the areas are of good standard, and supply many magazines, books, and other quick snacks such as pies and sandwiches, even gift packs or that forgotten birthday present etc. They have small ammusement arcades to fill time whilst resting from driving. The coffee bars and cafes are of a good standard but they are rather expensive. Welcome breaks... Read review

Advantages: Beautiful city. Very relaxing

...A weekend break in Lisbon is full of good food, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful wine. I would definitely recommend Lisbon as a weekend break. GO offer cheap flights from Stansted airport to Lisbon. We stayed in the Baixa the old part of the city - beautiful. The people were very friendly and warm. The Baixa has great atmosphere and from here navigation around the capital is very easy with trams and buses close buy. I felt very safe walking around Lisbon at night. Its a very friendly and warm city. The architecture and ambience is great.... Read review

Advantages: South Westerly shape

...Having spent my years surfing the 'Bay of Plenty' and witnessing the change after the piers were built. I can give a new commer to this break a little help in the understanding of the wave and mind set of the riders. Localism is rife in Durban with schools dominated by the break that they ride as a continuation of inter sport rivalry. The majority of the waves are right breaks though you do get a short hollow left in the bowl section. This is normally a fast take off with a good drop in and short barrel ride.(watch the pier) Rights in winter are long and very ridable with a South Westerley giving long tubes provided the swell has built. Fact Shaun Thompson ex world champion once surfed the mound for the longest tube during cyclone surf. The mound breaks beyond the backline in big surf conditions.
