I discovered arguscarhire.com on a recent trip to Dublin. I had been let down by carhire3000 who had somehow double-booked my order. They managed to tell me just in time (the day before I was to collect the Volkswagen Passat 2.0). I decided to check out arguscarhire.com after seeing their ad on Sky News and left a deposit on the same make and model. Their booking system was really easy to use. Not being familiar with Dublin, arguscarhire.com really ... ...be a complete nightmare. As for carhire3000-lets just say its not the first toime their services have been less than perfect. Since my experience, I 've heard stories from colleagues about shonky sustomer service and car not being up to scratch. From now on I'll be sticking with Argus. ... more

I cannot express how utterly awful this company is. I booked my hire car through them over a month prior to arrival and when I arrived at the airport to collect the car, the agent said they'd cancelled the car. No-one at Argus had contacted me, leaving me and my elderly disabled mother stranded in France. Luckiliy, Europcar saved the day by coming to the rescue. I cannot recommend Europcar more. Back in the UK, Argus took 2 weeks to refund my money ...
