Located in the Victoria Wharf, Victoria and Albert Waterfront this is easily accessible from nearby hotels and there are plenty of taxi services to drive you there should you not fancy the walk.
BAIA (known as bay) Is a seafood resaurant although there is not just seafood dishes to choose from as there is a wide menu ranging from oysters, ... ...also had.
Baia is open for both Lunch (12PM-3PM) and Dinner (7pm-11pm).
We passed this restaurant a few times before and it always looked busy and I have always gone on the impression that if the restaurant is busy then it must be a good choice so we decided to prebook as we were visiting on the weekend, on the night we made our visit is was fairly busy and it was a relief that we had booked.

There is an indoor seating area which easily accommodates up to 110 people and there is an amazing outdoor terrace with heaters should the temperature feel cool as it was during our visit in May, outdoors could seat up to 200 pax and had an amazing outlook of Table Mountain and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
There is something for everyone in the menu although there is so much to choose from I could not remember to list them all.
Restaurant is smart dress and appear to be very upmarket. The staff are extremely friendly and take the time to explain the dishes to you and to ensure that you are aware of the specials available.
Indoors the restaurant is non-smoking, but outside smoking is permitted.
Inside there was soft lighting and set a very romantic setting and made it the perfect location for a birthday feast.
We had a 3 course meal which consisted of Salmon, Oysters, Lobster, Chicken, Chocolate Cake and a Cheeseboard. 2 Aperitifs once we were seated at our table and then a bottle of wine during our meal and this only came to just over GBP60.00 which is a great price when you take in the foods that we had and the wine we also had.

This restaurant is very cosmpolitan and was filled with younger clientle and was bustling with conversation and laughter, I would rate this as one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in and I got the opportunity to eat some of the best seafood ever!!!
Advantages: Plenty to see, low prices, fantastic choide Disadvantages: Can be costly in peak travel periods
a few of my recommendations which have been tried and tested:-
BaíaSeafoodRestaurant was my birthday treat for my partner, he has a love for sea food and here we were able to dine on Oysters, Lobster, Steak and more for the average price of a 3 course meal in your local pub! This restaurant is very popular and we actually booked the day that we arrived as we knew we wanted to have a special night here and be guaranteed a reservation.
belthazar restaurant & wine bar we actually visited on several occasions as the wine was fantastic and the food was amazing, here we regualarly dined on langoustines and the appetizer was to die for which was some fantastic freshly baked bread with a spicy sausage dip to complement. Simply the best steak I have ever sampled was at this restaurant and again it is very popular with locals and tourists alike ...
