I went to the Black Isle Wildlife and Country Park yesterday with my 3 year old daughter and husband. We all enjoyed the animals immensly (llamas, wallabies, goats, zebras, deer, marmosets, meerkats, snakes, lemurs, parrots, swans, geese, ducks, emu's, raccoons, owls, rabbits, wild cats) unfortunately on the day we were informed that the pig had died but was going to be replaced soon. ...could feed all animals except zebra's, ponies and monkeys. The animals were so gentle my 3 year old felt confident enough to hand feed them. She also got to hold rabbits in "Bunny World" with an experienced supervisor at hand. Well what can i say? I drove up to the park and thought oh my what a waste of time! It looked like a shed! As you do, I thought well since we were there we will go in, I was so shocked it was a fab day out. There was alot of animals there, some that i never even heard of, there was zebras even got to pet a baby one, which i thought was just fab!! The whole family just loved it, on each animal there is stand with detailed information about the ...
...The added bonus was you could spend the whole day there if you wanted to, as there was a park for the kids with a sitting areas, also there was a cafe which served hot food and drinks.
