Every summer we always tend to go on the same holiday. W e get into our car with our holiday bags and head south toward's Chichester to a place called Selsey that is on the South coast. Here there is a really nice caravan site called Bunn Leisure. What we found great about this holiday is that it really does offer alot of choice for any age group.
So really if you want a relaxing holiday, or even a fun-filled holiday this really is a great place. But even if you dont fancy a long week of fun try going for a short break. To give you an idea of the quility of this holiday park. It has the biggest award for holiday centres that our country has to offer.
At this caravan site there are four sites that you can choice from depending really on what your own family wants from this holiday.
First there is WEST SANDS.
This is the largest section of the holiday park . Really close to all the family entertainment. Great if you want to just park up the car for the rest of the holiday. Here you are easy walking distance to the 1 mile stoned beach great for boating or relaxing with a spot of fishing. And if you are lucky to catch low tide you might be lucky to find a few sandy areas for sand castles. It is also very close to the main attraction of there new pool that is finished and if anyone has been at this caravan site before this was built will see what a big difference this pool offers to the holiday maker's. With now a family changing area that all have private changing area's great if you are like me and hate to undress in frount of stangers 4 areas to shower down before and leaving the pool. as you enter the pool area you will see a sauna and steam room on the right of you. Which also has a shower area. Then in front of you there is a large swimming pool for allow you to swim from one end to the other which they open earlier for people who would like to go for a swim with out children shouting.......this is great. Then there is the main pool with is built on a sloop so great for toddlers that are not to sure of the water , in this pool there is also two flumes. Great for all the big kid's out there. There are seats around the pool for those who would rather watch. Pool also has alot of life gaurds. on all of pools and flumes. There are also sun beds here but I didn't get a chance to look at these at it was a hot summer weekend but am sure that I will be returning to the holiday park in the near future.
Right back to what westsands have to offer. Here you are close to. Holiday reception this is were you pick and drop of keys and speak to someone if you have a problem. Windmill Supermarket. really rather expensive great for the odd thing. try going into Selsey itself were there are two supermarkets. Windmill Fryary. local chip shop gets rather busy but not badly priced. Pizza takeaway. never tryed but a bit pricie. This is also were a spotted Mr Bunni himself being driven around singing through a speaker the bunni song. my little girl laughed but my 7 month old burst inti tears. Launderette. Here you can wash and dry cloths and towels.hard to find someone here to get change I think if I can remember its about £3 per wash and 20p for 5 minutes tumble. Bike hire. Sorry another thing that I didn't have a chance to try. Free holiday coutesy bus that runs every half hour you able to get times from reception. this bus runs day and night great for getting around the large caravan sites and clubs. Security office. If you do hit a problem these people are great and manned 24 hours. Caravan sales if you want to buy one on site. Go-Kart tracks this you will have to pay an extra charge. Amusements and fun fair also again at an extra cost. Heated indoor swimming pool as I have mentioned before. Also there is no charge for the Sauna and Steamroom. Health suite: Gym not a large on but has all the basics at a small charge. massage rather expensive get your other half to do this at no cost to you. and sunbeds and as I said before a small charge for these. Embassy Theatre which does shows for all the family free by showing a pass you get when you check in. Quarterdeck Club for the kids thats in the next room to the Embassy that do entertainment for all kid's. Ocean bar that looks out to the sea. A nice warm place Smugglers Restaurant that opens early for breakfast around about 8am but can be rather dear if you have a few in the family cooked breakfast around £10. but no cleaning up which is great for a treat. Burger Express and on the dear side but they are to die for. Medmerry Stores were you can get the papers, bread milk etc.ect. Barnacles Bill's beach shop that sell everything from swim suits to frames..... Childrens play area....
Then there is WHITE HORSE.
This is were we stayed as it still offers alot for the family it has more of an relaxed atmosphere. Here there is one shop for the odd thing you might want from the paper to the pint of milk. There also is a Bar were you can have a meal and watch people in the open aired heated pool. Also behind the pool there is an undercover basketball, football, badminton and table tennis area.
There is also a smallier arcade with video games, pool tables, A large Scaletrix, Air hockey but again all these cost a few pounds.
Very close to this building there are playgrounds with swings, climbing frames and slides. Here there is also a club called the castaway with live bands and different acts on
Now there is GREEN LAWN.
Green lawn is the smallest of the sections. This part of the park is for people that like to have a holiday and relax. This part is secluded, very quiet atmosphere well set on green lawns with ducks waddling passed the caravans. And very soft lighting for the nights. There are not many extras to this section apart from the viking lounge that does western nights and line dancing but if you want to see abit more of the action you could always jump on the free bus that goes around the whole of the site.
Now they even offer a camping section. WARNER FARM All pitches are well maintained and there are facilities in the centre of the site for washing clothes, showers, toilets, ironing boards, electric points for hair dryiers. And their is also a section for washing your dishes. Here you are also allowed to us the facilities of other guests. There are 3 pitches here that you can choice from Standard, Electric, Super (with electric and grey water waste drainage)
Summer booking for this section is about £75 for 7 nights in the standard pitch. £85 for the electric pitch for the same number of nights.
They also offer two childrens clubs..... Each child also wears a plastis hand strap with name age caravan they are in incase they get lost and can be returned to you safley. this also alllows them to use the free things.
THE BUNNI CLUB
This is were the yougier kids from 5 to 10 were they meet other kids on holiday learn the Bunni dance and song, Theres magic shows, painting, drawings, games, Discos and alot more .on every day at no extra cost. allowing you to relax with your partner and enjoy the holiday.
Then there FUNKYTZ
This is for the 10 and overs were they can try snorkelling lessons. Have mad and crazy competitions. There are play station challenges which gets them ganging up on other holiday makers and meeting kids of there own age. They even get a chance to make there own movies.....great for any moody teenager.
Now the caravans themself well really you get what you payfor. they supply all the bedding and basic needs in the caravan from plates, pots ,tv etc.....The better the quality the better the price on average we spent just under £400 for a weekend break from Friday to Tuesday in there Gold range in July 2004. This would sleep up to 4 with two bedrooms(twin and a double )bathroom, seprate toilet. large open kitchen, with fridge, cooker and microwave. dinning area with 4 chairs and a very large living room with TV and video. The caraavan was 12ft wide 32 ft in length. with a wooden balcony.the caravan was very clean and stylish.well worth the money. It was very highstandards and made me wonder what the premier caravan was like. But there also was a silver range that still looked good.but not so up to date with interior.
Now I didn't really find alot of bad points to this holiday apart from the extras that your pass doesn't cover also if you are unlucky with the brittish weather you tend to get your feet rather wet as the park is built on marsh land to it tends to stay on the top causing a few puddles. Also eating out we found ourselfs going into Selsey as it was alot cheapier. But apart from that it really was a great holiday and the members of staff help do help alot with keeping kids happy......
Thankyou for reading and if you want more info go a check out there web site..

Advantages: Lots to do for everyone lots of fun, great family holliday Disadvantages: If you get the wrong part of the park can be slightly noisy at night
Bunn leisure is a lovely little caravan park in Selsey near chichester.
We absolutely love it at Bunn leisure we find that it offers so many different things to do for everyone. We have stayed there many times both caravaning and camping.
There are 4 different parts to the park - White horse, West sands, Green lawns and warner farm. They all offer different things for everyones individual holiday tastes.
West sands is on the sea front and offers ... ...nice cheap fish and chip shop. They also have regular car boot sales in the field right near the white horse. All in all Bunn Leisure offers pretty much everything you could want from a holiday in this country. I would definately recommend it to anyone. ...

Advantages: Good evening entertainment. Great leisure pool. Good customer service. Disadvantages: Very busy at peak season. Need good weather to get the most from your holiday.
...our 3rd weekend break to Bunn Leisure, Selsey. We went twice last year.
The site is made up of 4 areas. West Sands is the main part of the site with what looks like hundreds of caravans of varying ages placed over a large area with a small number close to the shingle beach. West Sand has the main entertainment building with the Embassy Club where all the evening entertainment takes place. When we were there, Bay City Rollers were playing on the ... ...evening and a good crazy golf course which you have to pay for.
We have stayed in various categories of caravan and all have been adequate and fairly clean.
Bunn Leisure always responds to any problems you may have and for example will provide extra bedding if requested. ...

Advantages: Excellent nightly entertainment for both kids and adults Disadvantages: Overpriced drinks and the unreliable British weather, not that Mr Bunn can control that
Couldn't fault the West Sands part of the park. The nightly entertainment is spot on, entertaining first the kids then the adults. All the nightly entertainment was very enjoyable. Kids can run around safely in the Kids Club whilst the adults can enjoy the (slightly overpriced £3.20 a pint) drinks.
The fun-fair appears over priced at £10 for a day pass for the kids, didn't seem to be much there so gave that a miss.
The swimming pools are also excellent. ...
