This service from the son of a wealthy Greek shipping merchant, sorry i couldn't remember his name. I think it's Steilios or something. Anyways, this service is catered for the mr or mrs average. Are you married, have 2.4 children, work in an 9-5 office, have a clean license, never drive out of your council district etc?
If you are then this is a great service for you if you want to hire a car for whatever reason you want to hire a car for.
However if your driving license isn't spotless then expect to pay a lot more for the insurance cover. I have 6 points on my license and was asked to pay over £100 extra for the hire of a car for 2 days. I didn't think it was worth it so i didnt bother.
Be also aware that the daily charges are exactly that..daily. If you decide you are going to pick up a car today and return it at exactly the same time tomorrow then you are then charged TWO days rental. However the later in a day you pick it up and the early in the return day you take it back the more discount you are entitled to. You are also limited to drive no more than 75 miles a day otherwise you will have to pay for every extra mile that you have driven
The price for a car can also vary vey quickly. On quiet days the prices are about £9 per day but you can easily pay double that on busy days. You should also not forget that you must pay a preparation fee which is a one off payment of £5 and that you must book the vehicle over the internet. You can go straight to your local branch if internet access isn't all that easy to come by and book online from the computers they have installed there. But if you book a car for one day and it is say at £18/day then you pay £36 and the booking fee for it and the car you get will be a moving promo for easyrentacar cos it has their logo plastered all over it.
