Firstly, it has to be said that my husband and I are not exactly well travelled so do not have much to compare Flybe.com to. However on experience alone we have been very impressed with them twice. Firstly my husband's daughter & partner wanted to come visit us - they are in Bournemouth and we are in North Wales. They don't drive and the train fares were absolutely horrific and most of their weekend would have been spent travelling. We were recommended Flybe - and booked them tickets from Southampton to Manchester, airports easily accesible to both ends.Not a problem - their joint return fare cost just over half the price of one train ticket. We then decided to use them ourselves to fly to Edinburgh from Liverpool at the end of July. Again - 2 people return cost £80. Booking via the internet was easy and effortless. At the airport everything was clear to follow. There was a delay on taking off (which was explained to us - it was a knock-on effect from a much earlier problem in the day, but having an explanation always helps), but we were given food & drink vouchers without question and by the time we'd eaten and shopped it was time to go. The flight was very comfortable (coming from someone who doesn't particularly fly well!) and lacked nothing that we needed. If there was a down side, the price of tea was rather high (£1.50 per cup) but hey! it's optional instead of being added onto your ticket price whether you want it or not. Good tea too. Air hostesses and ground staff were all very helpful and pleasant, at no time were we left wondering what was happening at any stage, our luggage was ready for us by the time we got to the carousel, and it was on the whole completely stress free. The return journey had no hitches and was equally as good. I would have no hesitation in using Flybe again and wholeheartedly recommend them.
