Flew with Flybe for the first time at the end of March - NEVER again!!! Arrived at Edinburgh en-route to Manchester. My wife & I changed flights from BA to Flybe. Our bags were checked all the way through and Flybe told us that if there was any problems with our bags they would tannoy us. No such announcements but when we arrived in Manchester our bags hadn't!! Reported missing bags immediately but details couldn't be put on the computer system as it hadn't been set up. Clothes, toiletries, vital medicines were all in the lost bags. 2 days later we arrived in Tunisia with what we were wearing and toothbrushes and toothpaste. Naively expecting our bags at any moment. No such luck! We spent our holiday having to wear the same items day and day out - much to our embarassment. It now seems that Flybe received our bags in Edinburgh but lost them, found them, got them ready to send to us - and then LOST THEM AGAIN!!!
On our return journey, when we checked in again at Manchester we were then told that our names were not on the flight list! Luckily we were able to be put on that flight.
It is now almost 2 months and we have not been given anything by Flybe, not a penny - not even something for toiletries, fresh underwear or emergencies when the bags were first lost.
A few weeks ago we sent in a claim including our luggage tags, detailed breakdown of the contents of both of our bags. Since then we have heard nothing - apart from a letter requesting the details we had already sent in.
My wife and I have decided that, in future, we will avoid Flybe at all costs.

It's unforgivable when you receive bad service from anyone or any business, and inevitably leads us to avoid the culprits forever. I always think that we always remember bad service far more readily than we remember good service (I should know - I work in a service industry and it only takes on error is a thousand to turn someone off). I've used Flybe lots of times and been satisfied, considering they are a low cost airline - no frills is what you get. However, despite this, there is still no excuse for downwight bad service and an reluctance to rectify a bad situation.
