i have used holiday autos.co.uk a few times and always found they give a great service
the last time was in spain when the third party company they used were brilliant - auriga crown spain - i highly recommend these anytime! i paid £66 for a 5 day rental of a ford fusion 5 door petrol, i paid an extra £10 damage excess waiver ( making total cost £76) they picked us up at airport 3 min ride to their depot, the paperwork took literally 5 mns, i only needed a £35 fuel deposit on my credit card, no silly £700 excess or anything so i would say either use holiday autos ( i have always found their prices are great and have never had a minutes trouble from any booking ( 6 in the last 2 years) and if you go through quidco to make your booking you get £7.50 cashback
or go direct with auriga crown (only in spain as far as i can tell)
