Recently booked car to pick up at Belfast Airport to attend funeral. When arrived had to pay on credit card. I asked why I had to pay and was thold they were the charges. Not explained if this was additonal or simply the payment I had agreed online. When checking c/c statement saw that 2 charges: holidayautos plus budget. When appoached re. this confusion holidayautos washed its hands of matter and said I should deal with Budget. Lesson: check if you have been charged on making booking or if you pay when pick up car. You could end up paying for insurance thiniing you were simply paying for agreed rental. While I now understand that Budget was offering additional insurance I was under the impression it was the hire charge. You should check very carefully any request for payment at rental desk.
