Best airline ever
Review of Air New Zealand - ANZ by
mcleism01
Advantages: Movies, TV Programmes, music, leg room, comfortability
Disadvantages: food
Me and my family used air New Zealand on our round the world trip and it was brilliant. The seats were extremely comfortable and there was a very good amount of leg room. There was a great mini TV o the back of the seat in front of you. On the TV there is a great array of movies many of which are just out at the cinema!!! You can not only just watch movies, you can watch TV programmes such as blackadder and extras on top of that you can also listen ...

The small airline with the big heart
Review of Air Vanuatu by
cladach29
Advantages: Impressive route network, punctual, friendly crew
Disadvantages: If 'plane breaks down, there's no replacement
...before I flew with them. Air Vanuatu is the national carrier of Vanuatu, an archaepelago nation in the south west Pacific, between The Solomon Islands and Fiji. Tourism is still in its infancy there, although it is becoming a popular destination with Australians and New Zealanders looking for some south sea paradise, good diving, friendly locals and stunning scenery. In this review, as with all of the ones that I write, I am trying to help readers ... ...the most impressive things about Air Vanuatu: the scale of the network it can operate with only 2 'planes. From its base in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, it operates twice weekly return services to Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland and Nadi (Fiji), codesharing with Qantas, using a Boeing 737-300 and a more frequent service to New Caledonia using a smaller ATR-42. However, this ambitious service plan has a flaw: should one of the 'planes break down ...

Flymaybe. Do you feel lucky?
Review of Flybe by
Englebert_Fliegenende
Advantages: Okay when they can get it together.
Disadvantages: Terribly unreliable, disgraceful customer relations.
Do not be fooled by FlyBe positioning themselves as a budget airline. They aren't cheap if you need to book seats less than a couple of weeks in advance, and the flights likely to be used for business trips are heavily penalised cost-wise.
I fly regularly to UK and EU destinations with FlyBe from Southampton. When it's fine, it's fine - which is all you can ask for from a 'budget airline'.
However, more than 50% of the 34 flights I've booked this ... ...or, worst of all, diverted to Birmingham or Exeter because we've taken off so far behind schedule than Southampton Airport will be closed by the time we touch down. Obviously, this usually happens on the return leg, which means I get to spend hours in a half closed airport with not a clue as to when I may get home. Any kind of disruption in the morning, at any airport, ripples though their schedules to the point of utter chaos by mid-afternoon.

Virgin Atlantic Upper Class.
Review of Virgin Atlantic Airways - VIR by
gpik
Advantages: Friendly, Efficient
Disadvantages: None
...always heard the hype of Virgin Atlantic. Lets face it, they are hard to miss when they are owned by Sir Richard Branson!
I was off on holidays to Sydney and decided to treat myself to Upper Class. The day came and I had already arranged the Limo service through Virgin Atlantic. The Limo service I understand is only available on some Upper Class Tickets (i,.e the non discounted ones). The Limo arrived on time, just in time to hit the rush hour traffic ... ...London Heathrow Terminal three. Well Virgin Atlantics private part of T3. VAA have an area called drive through check in. As the Limo pulls up a lovely ground staff member brings out all your details to the window and checks you in from the car! I couldnt believe it. The other half sat there with jaw open. From there we were escorted through to the Upper Class private security channel and within 9minutes we were in the London Heathrow Clubhouse!

Liverpool to Italy with Ryanair
Review of Ryanair - RYR by
T8stee
Advantages: low cost, easy to book, online booking, great destination
Disadvantages: awful decor
...and yellow interior, flying with Ryanair can be an unexpected joy.
Like many low-cost airlines Ryanair have cut out the frills to give its travellers a range of destinations at prices which won't break the bank. This Springtime my daughter and I took advantage of £10 flights and headed to Italy from Liverpool.
The adverts did say that it was Milan we were heading to but in truth we were almost one hour away from Milano and landed at Orio airport, ... ...all the low cost airlines, Ryanair operates on a speedy turnaround so you are expected to look lively when you board and disembark, though obviously those who struggle are given the greatest amount of attention and aided on and off board. You will also be expected to clean up after yourself, which in fairness is something we should all be doing as a matter of course. I would recommend Ryanair to anyone. I just wish they would bring back the Liverpool ...
