HOLIDAY INN BLOOMSBURY LONDON STAY
Review of Holiday Inn London Bloomsbury, London by
Wisegirl
Advantages: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Disadvantages: None
My family and I stayed here recently from Wed 11th-Sun15th April 2007 on a three day advance deal with full breakfast included. We were two adults and two children and it cost £116 on the Wed and Thurs Nights and £107 the Frid and Sat nights. On arrival we were upgraded at no extra charge to an executive room on the top(6th) Floor. I am a Priority Club member (register free for this on www.priorityclub.com) so maybe this helped with the upgrade. ... ...an hour earlier we were allocated the room straight way.
Where this hotel wins hands down is its LOCATION in the Russell Square area just a couple of minutes from the tube(2stops + to the West End) and a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the West End. The local surroundings were pleasant with a shopping centre including a Sushi Bar, Waitrose, Juice bar, Carluccios coffeebar/restaurant and clothes shops. Behind the hotel was a 24 hour Tesco stocking ...

Fantastic hotel, shame about its surroundings
Review of Holiday Inn London - Kings Cross / Bloomsbury, London by
lorajane
Advantages: Beautifully presented, very welcoming
Disadvantages: Feels a bit rough in the surrounding area
The Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury is a beatifully presented and welcoming hotel. The decor is clean, modern and, to a degree, much more opulent in design than other holiday inns where I have stayed. The room itself was large with a king size bed and a very nice seating area (which I presume will change to a sleeping area if required. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and about average size for a hotel of its class. The view from the window ... ...Close the curtains though and you could be anywhere in the world. The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and accommodating. They were very helpful and could not do enough for you. I found it very interesting to observe how 'international' the staff were. I was very aware of their excellent ability to communicate in various languages to foreign visitors. This is always a very welcoming sign. As for breakfast: It was just like any other hotel. ...

Outstanding Service at Flemings!
Review of Flemings Mayfair Hotel and Apartments, London by
Yorkshire-pudding
Advantages: Beautifully decorated, staff very friendly and helpful
Disadvantages: The room was a bit pricey, but that is to be expected!
Upon standing at the doorstep, you instantly get a whiff of elegance glaring in through the automated doors. You know this is going to be nice (staring right opposite is the Hilton hotel!).
The enterence is beautifully decorated. Mirrors glisten, equisite floral arrangements and the reception is right in front of you, with wonderfully helpful and friendly staff to welcome you.
Upon recieving our electronic key card, we are told that we are able ... ...of bags is required as they will be brought up to us. The lift is beautifully decorated in the form of a mini library.
Finding the room was easy. As we were aware each room is individually decorated, and as we had a twin room we did not know what to expect. However we were pleasantly suprised. The room was contemporary yet elegantly decorated, with a flat screen tv on the wall, a lovely sofa and coffee table, and the beds were lovely and big!
The ...

Worst Hotel In London
Review of Pembridge Palace Hotel, London by
ir8trav
Advantages: Had hot water
Disadvantages: Cost too much
Not a three star hotel! This is not even a one star hotel. The room was tiny. The television only worked on one snowy chanel. The bathroom smelled of mold and the shower curtain was slimy. There was no plug for the drain so it was impossible to take a bath. There were no glasses, very few towels, and no extra pillows. The pillows smelled and were dirty and the extra blanket had large holes. There were bugs! I received many bites and developed sores ... ...make a cup of tea. The staff were not helpful and they didn't seem to care. The carpet was threadbare and dirty (greasy). There was constant noise all night and the floors were very noisy when anyone walked on them. Outside the window there were many cigarette butts and other trash. DON"T STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD HOLIDAY!! ...

Very modern hotel in a very convenient location
Review of Chiswick Moran Hotel, Hounslow by
geordieg00
Advantages: Location, rooms
Disadvantages: Availability, lack of loyalty/points scheme
I first visited the Chiswick Moran Hotel in July 2006 when it first opened, as I'd just begun working in Brentford about a mile from the hotel and it fast became my favourite hotel in the area. Since then i've stayed there probably in excess of 150 nights over the last 2 years.
The Hotel
The hotel is part of a small chain owned by an Irish family which has other hotels in Central London and Dublin. As I mentioned above, the hotel itself is ... ...proper workout.
The Location
Chiswick is an absolutely great town in West London and one of the few places in London that I would feel safe walking around on my own in the dark. The main street through Chiswick, Chiswick High Road, is a busy bustling tree lined road packed full of shops, bars, restaurants and much more. Not far from Twickenham, the England rugby team often stay in the hotel....its a surreal experience having breakfast with ...
