Hilton Kensington
Review of Hilton London Kensington, London by annmarie.wills

Advantages: Price, Room Quality, Cleanliness, Staff
Disadvantages: Small Room, Location

...smaller side compared to other Hilton Hotels I've stayed in. Nevertheless it was warm, clean with fabulous air con / central heating system. The bathroom was also small and the corridor into your room from the door isn't a ver big gap. I had facility to use the internet at a cost of £15, use of their ethernet cables. Room came with plenty of clean towels, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap. More importantly a hairdryer - which I'd forgot to take on ...
...well I can't really find one, only thing I could moan about was the location but being in London a tube ride will get you anywhere! The staff were very friendly, even recieved a phone call to make sure everything was ok in my room. The bar and meals were reasonably priced and were ok - not the finest of meals but I prefer to eat outside of the hotel anyway. This hotel is ideal for a short stay with not much luggage. Overall, I'd recommend this ... Read review

Marriott Marble Arch - London
Review of London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch, London by jomarannetyn

Advantages: Best bed i have slept in
Disadvantages: No tube station close by

...wanted to go on the London Eye this year as i thought we would get a good view of the fire works. The hotel is of a very high standard and is kept well maintained, although we felt it was expensive for where it is situated compared to other hotels. The bedrooms are very tastefully decorated and are quite roomy compared to other hotels. It had a queen size bed which is about the size of a double bed plus half again, the mattress was soft and comfortable ...
...one and the pillows were large and fluffy, it is the best bed i have slept in i had a thoroughly good night sleep. The room also had a shower/bath and a sofa, TV with alarm clock and telephone, iron and hairdryer, the Wardrobe space was plentiful with about 10 hangers in total. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station which doesn't sound too bad until you have walked all the way down Oxford steet because the tube stations are undergoing ... Read review

SERVICE WITH A SMILE
Review of London Marriott Hotel Regents Park, London by dabmim

Advantages: Clean, staff knowledge and politeness
Disadvantages: Mini-bar,

...marriage we decided to visit London (one of my favourite places), and this time decided to stay the side of London we weren’t so familiar with near Regents park. Checking online we picked the Marriott hotel Regents Park. Set in King Henry’s Road NW3 the hotel contains 303 rooms set on seven floors. Each room the hotel boats has air-conditioning, & balcony. Arriving two hours prior to our agreed check in time we were pleasantly surprised to find ...
...well over exaggerated even by London standards: Can of Pepsi = £2.60: Small tube of Pringles = £1.75; Bar of chocolate = £3.60. Disabled access: Wheelchair users are welcomed and though I’m not sure they have any specifically disabled rooms. Our bathroom would have been totally unacceptable if I had been totally wheelchair reliant. There are two slopes at either end of the hotel for wheelchairs, pushchairs etc. However when our taxi pulled up outside ... Read review

Needs it's star rating reviewed!
Review of Thistle Selfridge, London by Aeris_Cloud

Advantages: V close to Oxford Street and the shops
Disadvantages: Untrained staff, musty smell, bad value for money

My Husband and I stayed here for the weekend (13-15th July 2007), we purchased a theatre package online and this was the hotel chosen for us. ON ARRIVAL: Upon arrival at the hotel, it looked very grand from the street and was attached to Selfridges. A top-hatted doorman opened the door for us, and wished us good afternoon. Once we entered the hotel, the welcome stopped there really. Wanting to check in, we approached what turned out to be the concierge's ...
...desk was. CHECKING IN: I can confidently say that all the staff manning reception were extremely unqualified in customer service - although I must point out that there were two European girls working at times and they were excellent, showing the English up! We were asked for our credit card for a £75.00 retainer on the room (although I don't know why as there was no mini-bar or anything else of value we could have destroyed or nicked in the room). ... See behind the curtain....
Review of Acacia Hotel, London by martinkk

Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Tidiness

I'm really sorry for that bad review, but it is 100% the truth. I stayed there from Oct 26th until Oct 28th. From the outside, the hotel looks quite good. The location is perfect and the price is cheap. But.... When we (my girlfriend and I) entered the room, it had a very bad smell. Later we found out that it was the smell of bedbugs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug my girlfriend had about 200 bedbug-bites after 3 nights....yeah! I contracted ... Read review
