Holiday Inn Regents Park
Review of Holiday Inn London - Regent's Park, London by petermcguigan

Advantages: Central, package deals available
Disadvantages: rooms small and food average

...nice bathroom, good bed, the Holiday Inn "menu of pillows" and so on. We ate in the restaurant, reasonably early and almost entirely alone! The food was edible but forgettable it could almost have been anything. For instance my wife had salmon and the sauce was overwhelming. Other than a long queue to check out the place was "fine". It is very clean, well maintained and convenient. For those of us not used to London it may be even be above the ... Read review

Best Holiday Inn in London
Review of Holiday Inn London - Kensington, London by wandavonwink1

Advantages: London on your doorstep
Disadvantages: not a bargain

...it. Although it is a holiday inn, it is relatively small and in a lovely old building. It has a very appealing garden terrace which backs on to the grounds of a nearby convent and it is very pleasant and peaceful to sit outside. The rooms are of a very nice standard - I have stayed in most types, from standard to the duplex suite and find the executive rooms to be the most comfartable. When booking, definitely request one facing the garden to the ...
...very friendly and always remember me which I think is nice, considering how many people pass through their doors. The food is good enough and the bar is comfortable. The hotel is just opposite gloucester road tube station and very near earls court and olympia. Great for shopping, great for business and if booked online room rates are as cheap as £89 per room, per night. Excellent value in central London. ... Read review

Something different in the City!
Review of Rookery Hotel, London by popoki

Advantages: Unique, Romantic, Cosy, Charming, Friendly...
Disadvantages: Cost

The Rookery Hotel Peter's Lane, Cowcross Street Clerkenwell London, EC1M 6DS Tel: 020 7336 0931 I stayed here with my partner in November last year, we'd booked tickets to go and see a concert at the Barbican and I was looking for a hotel nearby. First I tried Malmaison but that was too pricey at £195 for the most basic room. I debated the Thistle Barbican for a while but when a colleague booked a month before my visit and they couldn't find ...
...romantic. Someone suggested the Rookery - all I knew at that point is that it was where Pete Doherty was arrested (very rock and roll), so I decided to do a little research... The Rookery is found deep in the heart of Clerkenwell, just outside the City of London, it's a hotel steeped in history - it only has 33 rooms and is made up from three different Georgian buildings. The rooms are all different and are named after previous occupants of the ... Read review

Malmaison - faboulous hotel chain.
Review of Malmaison, London by gene2006

Advantages: modern ,excellent service and food.
Disadvantages: more business orientated than other malmaison hotels.

I stayed in Malmaison London a few months ago for a work conference. I had experience with other Malmaison branches across the country so was really looking forward to my stay. The hotel is based in Charterhouse Square next to Smithfields market and has a great location safely tucked away from the main street. It's a nice little part of London (Smiths of Smithfield, Fabric just down the road) with easy access to the centre of town or Islington by ...
...if you don't want to deal with hustle and bustle of Picadilly or the West End but still need a central location. When I arrived as usual the staff were helpful and friendly - you get the impression they genuinely enjoy their jobs and want to provide a great service. I had a room on the second floor which was spotless and well presented. There was a CD playing when I arrived which was a nice touch. All the mod cons were there, TV,CD , DSL, Tea and ... Thistle Victoria
Review of Thistle Victoria, London by hastings1066

Advantages: Central Location
Disadvantages: Can be noisy as on busy road

A brillaint hotel with lovely food. Next to Victoria mainline station and underground station. Also situated across the road from the bus station. 10minutes walk from Buckingham palace and about 15 from Downing street. Local shops and souvenir shops are 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is a great place for a short weekend break. Brilliant place to stay for families and couples. The rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very ...
...I would recommend this hotel greatly but can get fully booked quite easily. I would therefore recommend booking early to take advantage of this hotel. The hotel can get quite busy as conference meetings are taken place throughout the year. Overall, a brillaint and nice place to stay. ... Read review
