NICE HOTEL AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
Review of Adria Hotel, London by SHAR-RON

Advantages: VALUE FOR MONEY, CLEAN & CONVENIENTLY SITUATED
Disadvantages: NO OFF ROAD PARKING

The Adria is a nice little hotel which is conveniently situated a couple of minutes walk from Hammersmith tube station. We found it great value for money, paying £65 per night for an en-suite double room which was basic but comfortable, very clean and had tons of storage space, something i've found to be missing from other hotels i've stayed in. There is a choice of continental or full English breakafast (£3 and £5 respectively), we went for the ...
...The only negative about the Adria is there is no off road parking and the car park across the road is very expensive, but we found that if you park in the streets at the rear of the hotel, Sat and Sun parking is free which saved us a fortune. Would definitely recommend to others. ... Read review

Stop off before Heathrow
Review of Airways Hotel, London by serendipity7

Advantages: close to paddington, cheap
Disadvantages: tiny rooms, poor bathroom, old

I stayed at the Airways hotel before catching an early morning flight from Heathrow. Its proximity to the station makes it ideal for exactly this purpose with the Heathrow Express leaving during the day and most of the night. The room rate was also very reasonable (£35 booked in advance via reservations website). However the rooms are very small, it's noisy and old and the single room at the top of the house has the most disgusting bathroom I have ... Read review

London on a shoestring.
Review of Alhambra Hotel, London by Jen1978

Advantages: Great prices, centrally located.
Disadvantages: Small rooms, not wonderful location for some people.

Basically, if you're considering staying here, you probably have a small budget. If this is the case, I can reccommend it as it is great value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms are basic yet clean, and the breakfast is great (I am vegetarian so they cooked me a full veggie breakfast every day but there are quite a few options). The hotel is spread over 2 separate sites, across a small road from each other. We were ...
...hotel building, which is where the reception and breakfast rooms are. Our room was a basement room with a small window which had views of the pavement and peoples' feet! The room was pretty basic but clean. We had a double bed, wardrobe, drawers and a tv. The bathroom was tiny but again, clean. There aren't kettle in the room but you can borrow them from reception free of charge. The rooms are quite nicely decorated (quite twee and homely) but we ... Read review

The Ambassadors Hotel Bloomsbury
Review of Ambassadors Hotel in Bloomsbury, London by dee140183

Advantages: lovely rooms, great restaurant
Disadvantages: noisy road

I sent my parents to this hotel whilst in London seeing a show. The room was £185 for the night, it was a superior double room. Breakfast was included which they said was delicious. They ate in the hotel reataurant and again really enjoyed it. To people travelling to London i would recommend, however a couple of disadvantages are as follows 1) a room above the 2nd floor is a must as the hotel is on a very busy road. 2) if going to see a show in the ...
...taxis were very expensive 3)the rooms are not that big so possible best for just one or two nights stay. The room was very clean and had the added bonus of having a plasma screen on the wall!!! all in all a nice treat and would book again for a couple on the town. ... Read review

Good value for money
Review of Americana Hotel, London by CaroleH

Advantages: Close to Baker Street tube & buses
Disadvantages: Only single or double rooms - no triple or family rooms

...in London staying at the Americana Hotel in a twin room. Not the largest room but as we did not spend much time there other than for sleeping this was not a problem. The room had plenty of storage space and was lovely and warm and secondary glazing meant that the room was fairly quiet even though it was on the main road. The hotel has recently been refurbished and was quite well fitted although the carpets and bedspreads were rather grubby. However ...
...towels were changed daily. Breakfast is served between 7.30 & 9.30 each day though earlier breakfast is available by arrangement. There was a good choice of fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast or bread rolls with meat, cheese or hard boiled eggs and juice or hot drinks. Check out hotel websites before booking - we paid £188 for 3 nights, but some sites were offering the hotel price of £345 (£115 per night ). Don't think it's worth this but if you can get ...
