Review of St. Giles Hotel,, London by TheWizardsSleeve

Advantages: location
Disadvantages: jaded, numbers of guests

***Why The St Giles?*** Back in September 2007 my wife and I had decided we would like to go to London for the weekend and at the same time take in a show. After further investigation, we also realised that The Terracotta Army was on show at The British Museum and a Tutankhamun exhibition at the 02 Arena so we wanted a hotel that was adjacent to most things on our to do list, close access to Euston as well as having easy access to the tube. We chose ...
...google search we did, had some decent reviews, offered an all in one price for the hotel and a show and was in a fabulous location. ***Location*** They say the three most important things for a hotel is location, location, location but I feel that location is relative. After all, an establishment cannot be located everywhere but the St Giles succeeds in being as good a location for a hotel as any I have ever been to. The location is without a doubt ... Read review

Jury's Inn - Guilty as Charged
Review of Jurys Inn Croydon, London by EmmaLOU_lloyd

Advantages: Lovely Reception and Friendly Barstaff
Disadvantages: Small rooms, Hards Beds, too many to count.

not sure about this place, looks quite impresseive walking in, but the rooms are small, i had a sofa in mine which pretty much took all the walking space from that side of the bed. tiny TV, with a few free channels. Bed was very hard and the aircon was quite brutal. the bathroom was nice, white and clean but the bath is very small and the shower kicks out red hot water if your not careful. bar is a little expensive but make yummy sandwiches roughly ...
...the bar are charming but the ones on reception need to learn a lesson or two in customer service. i had my card slammed back in my hand once i had paid the bill. there are much nicer hotels for about the same price but to honest i would rather pay the extra twenty quid for one more star. ... Great Expectations - and they were exceeded
Review of Saint Gregory, London by uglyboots

Advantages: Very clean and new - luxury standards for a good price (when booking online)
Disadvantages: Not on the nicest street, but fairly central

I stayed at the Saint Gregory hotel in February 2007, having booked a room online. As it was not part of a major chain and I had not heard of it before I was a little bit wary about booking a room there, but as we were only staying one night and the online rate we received was very reasonable (around £70), having visited their well-designed website I decided to give it a try. I am really glad that I did because it was a very enjoyable stay. It was ...
...the street the hotel is on isn't the nicest and looks a bit run down. I think the area must be on the up however as the hotel is quite new and is really good quality. The room we stayed in (2 of us) was a double room with a really good size bed (possibly King Size), a seating area, large desk, full length mirror, 2 bed-side tables, mini-bar, kettle and coffee etc. and an en-suite bathroom with a bath (with shower over it), sink and toilet. The room ... Read review

Express By Holiday Inn: Earls Court
Review of Express By Holiday Inn Earls Court, London by pikeygirl

Advantages: Close to Earls Court
Disadvantages: Bit of a tube ride into centre of London

...and myself) stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn: Earls Court on 03 October for one night. Why ------- We had tickets to Wicked and wanted a hotel close to the Apollo Victoria theatre (it was only a couple of tube stops). How Much -------------- We paid £119.00 for one night in a "triple" room. We booked this directly with Holiday Inn, because I am a priority club member, we did try to get travel agent discount, but we had no luck! First Impression ...
...West Kensington was the closest tube station to the hotel; it was a good ten minute walk, with luggage. Walking up to the hotel you notice that it looks like quite a new property, and as soon as you enter the lobby/reception this is confirmed to you. Check-in was an absolute breeze, we were handed our room key-cards, and after signing some paperwork, we made our way up to room 511. The hotel only has five floors which is quite nice, but what was ... Read review

A Central Location, Ideal For Exploring London
Review of Novotel London City South, London by Andy.mack

Advantages: Reasonable deals on rooms, good facilities, nice spacious rooms, central location
Disadvantages: Prices of the extra items such as breakfast

...I opted to try the Novotel as they seemed to have some very reasonable deals on. Once I'd decided that it was then choosing one to stay at and it made sense to get one near the London Eye and near to the Tube stations, so I opted for the Novotel in Southwark. I booked the whole thing using the Novotel's website and because of this there are some better rates than you might otherwise get. The standard price for a double room with a sofa is £195 and ...
...using the directions on the Novotel website. The hotel is quite easy to spot as you come to the back entrance and the car park if you are coming from London Bridge station. The car park itself is quite expensive, working out at about £16 per 24 hours. Once we had negotiated the killer revolving door and got into reception we were quite impressed by the openness of it all. There is a small bar on the ground floor, which was quite reasonably priced ... Read review
