The Best Hotel in the Docklands
Review of Hilton London Docklands, London by leemacman

Advantages: Excellent ( Room Price - Staff - Room Decor - Night Life)
Disadvantages: Mini Bar Prices

...to book online with the Hilton hotel website. There was more than enough clear and easy to see pictures of the room and for a change the pictures reflected how the room looks. the support for booking online is also excellent as if you have a problem you can just phone the hotel you want to stay at and they will help you book online. **** Prices Per Night**** The great thing about booking online is you get a calendar with all the dates with the ...
...for a night away you can book a room that might cost £250+ per night for a little as £99 per night. **** traveling to the Hotel **** this is extremely easy as you have to main train lines one (DLR - South Quay) which is 30 second walk from the hotel and the second (jubilee - Canary walf) which is around a 5 minute walk. **** Checking In & the Staff **** Checking in was so easy and the members of staff are so nice and friendly anything you need ... In the Club
Review of Club Quarters Gracechurch, London by voyce100

Advantages: Clean, comfortable, accessible and close promimity to sights and transport network.
Disadvantages: All shops, bars and eateries are closed at weekends in the business district .

Club Quarters Gracechurch is a former Edwardian bank in the heart of the business centre of London. It is a very clean and comfortable place to rest your weary bones after a day of sightseeing. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Our bathroom was a little on the small side. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Tower of London, St Paul's, The Monument and Underground stations to connect you to the rest London has to offer. The ...
...food and drink. Club Quarters is a haven for business travelers during the week and all the facilities for such clients are well met. At weekends the hotel is open to the public. Our room was cosy but the bathroom a tad small. Nevertheless, the accommodation suited our needs. The room had the usual tea and coffee facilities, a TV, internet access and a small collection of books. The lobby was clean and the lounge comfortable with large sofas and ... Read review

Academy Town House Hotel, Gower St, London
Review of The Academy Town House, London by ikkin1981

Advantages: Beautifully refurbished Victorian hotel
Disadvantages: Can't think of any!

...other attractions. Quality furnishings lavish the property throughout, as you wind your way around the narrow Victorian corridors to either your room, or one of the small atrium styled lounge areas, leading onto a courtyard with tables and chairs. Furnishings are traditional, tasteful and very good quality. Many bedrooms have had authentic fireplaces uncovered during restoration, which add a real centrepiece to many rooms, and beds look sumptuous ...
...however had I paid for the hotel myself, I would not have been disappointed. Service was excellent and there were many discreet touches that really set this place apart. I particularly liked that they would turn down your bed, place slippers at the side and turn the radio on whilst you were out of an evening - a real welcome to come back to. Whilst located on a busy road, noise was not a problem. Highly recommended to all. ... Read review

Thistle Victoria
Review of Thistle Victoria, London by hastings1066

Advantages: Central Location
Disadvantages: Can be noisy as on busy road

A brillaint hotel with lovely food. Next to Victoria mainline station and underground station. Also situated across the road from the bus station. 10minutes walk from Buckingham palace and about 15 from Downing street. Local shops and souvenir shops are 2 minutes walk away. The hotel is a great place for a short weekend break. Brilliant place to stay for families and couples. The rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very ...
...I would recommend this hotel greatly but can get fully booked quite easily. I would therefore recommend booking early to take advantage of this hotel. The hotel can get quite busy as conference meetings are taken place throughout the year. Overall, a brillaint and nice place to stay. ... Read review

Looks nice on the website....
Review of The Cumberland, London by DiaboloVF

Advantages: Soft beds, high-speed internet, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Noisy at weekends, below average housekeeping

The Cumberland is easy to find, the staff are helpful, and the rooms are clean. However there are a couple of faults. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told that my room had been double booked, but they decided to grant me a free upgrade. All good except that my room was now above the hotels nightclub, and I had to put up with booming music until 3am. That said, I did manage to have a wonderful sleep after it finished, and awoke feeling refreshed. ...
...want to get up! The other thing I wasn't too impressed with was the bathroom. There were several cracks in the plaster, one of the lightbulbs had blown and the complimentary shampoo bottle was half empty. My advice? At reception, ask what the noise levels are like in the room and don't accept it until you have inspected it. ... Read review
