An emergency bed for the night
Review of The Bridge Hotel, London by Julieshobs

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Too many to put here

Now before I get to the details of this hotel I must say that I was grateful to have a bed for the night and not have to sleep on the floor of Euston Station on the 18th January. Why was I staying in London Having travelled down to the London office of the firm I work for for a meeting on the morning of Thursday 18th Jan I did have concerns re my travel arrangements and the weather forecast and was fully expecting delays but was not expecting ...
...this was not to be the case and emergency accommodation was called for. =Finding the hotel= The hotel itself is on Borough Road just off Borough High Street and about I would say 10 mins walk from Borough Station which is on the Northern Line if you are using the tube. For me I only had to get there the office which is located between Bank and Monument stations. Now having already discovered that the Northern Line was not running due to an ... Read review

Not recommended
Review of Pembridge Palace Hotel, London by meriel73

Advantages: good area
Disadvantages: rude, unhelpful staff

We were moved here from another hotel in the same area as they were overbooked. This is not 3 star hotel, rooms small with no tea/coffee facilities in room, not even a beaker in the bathroom or plug in sink. Tiles in bathroom cracked, perhaps newly decorated as the re was paint on the curtains. breakfast was minimal and although advertised as served til 10.30 on a Sunday the staff start to clear away toaster, cups cutlery etc at 10.15 and not accomodating ... Better Out, Than Inn
Review of Days Inn London Westminster, London by sghawken

Advantages: Very trying staff
Disadvantages: Awkward location and difficult to navigate building.

...but I never. The Days Inn, Westminster consists of what originally used to be three hotels. Days Inn Hotels usually consist of large purpose built accommodation, however here was not the case and the chain appear to have settled for what they could get rather than what was needed. As a result The Days Inn, Westminster seems rather cheap, badly functioning and incredibly dingy. The Days Inn, Westminster is located approximately 10 minutes away from ...
...minute walk you'll find The Days Inn on the opposite side of the road. Of the 20 people attending the same course as myself 19 used the hotels directions and got lost, the 20th member was actually aware of the location of the hotel and stated that had they used the hotels directions they too would be lost. As I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was immediately thrown into a sketch from the BBC series Fawlty Towers; I could not for the life of me get ... Read review

Enjoy your Stay at the Comfort Hotel
Review of Comfort Inn Harrow, London by rowei

Advantages: Friendly staff, modern facilities, good value
Disadvantages: Some areas of the hotel not as clean as others

...area, we came across the Comfort Inn hotel, which is located 5-10 minutes walk from Northwick Park underground station (on the Metropolitan Line). This was ideal as it was just a short walk away from the hospital, Northwick Park and St. Marks. ** THE HOTEL ** The Comfort Inn hotel in Harrow belongs to a larger chain of hotels, called 'Crimson Hotels'. Crimson Hotels also own the 'Quality hotel' group which is quite well-known in the UK. Overall, ...
...will be specifically of the Comfort Inn hotel in Harrow, as this is where we stayed. As I said at the outset, this hotel is ideally situated, not only for people having to visit the nearby hospital, but also for people on business, those visiting London or even people attending sports fixtures at the nearby Wembley stadium. The hotel itself is rated three star. It has 73 en-suite bedrooms all of which offer modern facilities such as TV with satellite, ... Read review

PERFECT SETTING FOR THE COLNEY FOX
Review of Innkeeper's Lodge, St Albans by RICHADA

Advantages: Location. Pub Ambiance. Parking. Breakfast.
Disadvantages: Dirty En-Suite. Old Bed. Tatty Room.

WHY DID WE BOOK THE INNKEEPER'S LODGE St ALBANS? A.K.A THE COLNEY FOX VINTAGE INN A slightly complicated set of factors this time - indeed this is the first hotel in which we have stayed south of Watford Gap in very many years. Living in Brighton and attending the Company Car in Action event at Millbrook, just south of Bedford, we usually set out from home at 5.30am in order to be there for gates open at 9.00am. I owed myself a couple of days off ...
...envelope, following our last, disastrous, Innkeeper's Lodge experience in Litchfield before Christmas, we had a complimentary "stay one night free" voucher. Looking at the list of available Inkeeper's Lodges in the area, the choice was not a difficult one, a Toby Inn at Bedford, or the much more historic and attractive looking Vintage Inn at London Colney, just to the south of St Abans. 'Oh dear' I hear you cry; 'wasn't that Lodge at Lichfield ... Read review
