Advantages: Style, excellent service, great location
Disadvantages: Too many tourists

The only problem with The Ritz is that being such a landmark it does attract a bizarre mixture of people. The Rivoli Bar is perhaps a bit kitsch for some, decorated with much gold and glitz, but The Palm Court and adjoining lounge bar are sophistication in themselves and ideal places to take elderly relatives to tea or for drinks with clients/friends. ...Rooms are excellent and of the high standard one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. Prices are high, but for that you do get the best. The service is impeccable, the staff excellent and their attentive yet discrete manner is most impressive. Disadvantages: no frills, bread and jam for breakfast!!

...of minutes walk from the Bayswater tube station, Queensway being about four minutes. These stations serve District, Circle and Queensway also serves the Central lines. The hotel is situated on a quite square with a mixture of private residence and hotels around. There was on street parking and altough there were spaces to be had I can imagine at peak times it would be hard to get a space. Kensington palace and gardens is a three minute walk away ...
...hotel. I found the Bayswater area really pleasant there was an abundance of amenities near by from local off-Licences to Tesco metros, Pizza hut, Mc Donalds and copius restraunts and pubs... Advantages: Right on the Airport doorstep and connected via walkways.
Disadvantages: NOT cheap!

...Consider signing up for the Hilton Honors card before you go. Its free but will enable you to get to check in or out quicker than other people. BOTTOM LINE: Good Point: You can walk to the airport in about 5 mins so NO fiddleing about with getting curtsey buses! Bad Point: It'll cost a bit more than other hotels but the convenience of the location could well make up for it. ... Read review

...to be near High Street Kensington station and a range of shops! The check in was relatively simple with extremely friendly staff and a concierge service (to check your bags in early) which was great! We had a room a little larger than the standard, but even seeing a friend's standard room looked to be an average size especially for the rates and location!
