Marriott Marble Arch - London
Review of London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch, London by
jomarannetyn
Advantages: Best bed i have slept in
Disadvantages: No tube station close by
...wanted to go on the London Eye this year as i thought we would get a good view of the fire works.
The hotel is of a very high standard and is kept well maintained, although we felt it was expensive for where it is situated compared to other hotels.
The bedrooms are very tastefully decorated and are quite roomy compared to other hotels. It had a queen size bed which is about the size of a double bed plus half again, the mattress was soft and comfortable ... ...one and the pillows were large and fluffy, it is the best bed i have slept in i had a thoroughly good night sleep. The room also had a shower/bath and a sofa, TV with alarm clock and telephone, iron and hairdryer, the Wardrobe space was plentiful with about 10 hangers in total.
It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to the nearest tube station which doesn't sound too bad until you have walked all the way down Oxford steet because the tube stations are undergoing ...

See behind the curtain....
Review of Acacia Hotel, London by
martinkk
Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Tidiness
I'm really sorry for that bad review, but it is 100% the truth. I stayed there from Oct 26th until Oct 28th.
From the outside, the hotel looks quite good. The location is perfect and the price is cheap. But....
When we (my girlfriend and I) entered the room, it had a very bad smell. Later we found out that it was the smell of bedbugs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug my girlfriend had about 200 bedbug-bites after 3 nights....yeah! I contracted ...

amazing sheets on a bed to die for
Review of Renaissance Chancery Court, London by
floodzo81
Advantages: Short walk to Covent Garden & Oxford St
Disadvantages: little or no nightlife close by
Call me old-fashioned, but we knew this was going to be good when we spotted a bowl of miniature Toblerones sitting at reception.
The hotel is located in Holburn, on the edge of the business district, and is around 10 minutes walking to Oxford Circus/Covent Garden. The tube station, literally around the corner, is on the central line to Oxford Circus too.
The room was beautiful. Not minimalist like a lot of places with gimmicky 'young and hip' ... ...that in the feel of the room and not the decor or the furnishings, all of which were pristine. The marble bathroom had an incredibly powerful shower, along with a larger than average bath. The only drawback was the view - our room over-looked an office building. We did check in at around 11pm though, and as the hotel has a courtyard in the middle, as well as facing High Holburn, I think we were just relatively unlucky. All in all, a great stay. A ...

Home from Holmes. Highly Recommended.
Review of Langham Hotel, London by
andymcf
Advantages: Opulent. Friendly. Clean, luxurious home from home
Disadvantages: No in-room tea / coffee making facilities; expensive room service
...most enjoyable stay at the Langham Hilton. One of the flagship hotels of the European branch of the Hilton group, I had read several reviews of this hotel and - these being fairly negative - entered the portals with my eyes wide open. I was expecting poor, arrogant service. Wrong - the service was helpful, friendly and efficient. I was expecting tiny rooms. Wrong, again! Read on! So - Why visit the Langham? There are several answers. Firstly, it ... ...marble bathroom with monogrammed fluffy Langham Hilton bathrobes and slippers, an excellent bath and shower and fully supplied with lovely "Penhaligon" toiletries. And then more stairs, leading to a private drawing room with setee, table, another minibar, colour TV with SKY channels, and - up a few more steps - a writing desk with writing paper, envelopes, a high-speed internet connection and one of several telephones. Look hard enough and you'll ...

Halkin Hotel
Review of The Halkin Hotel, London by
newty1977
Advantages: Luxurious, fabulously located hotel
Disadvantages: Expensive
One of the ultimate high class more leisure orientated hotels within London, which boasts luxuriousness and contemporary modernity.
Located between Hyde Park Corner and Victoria, it boasts the splendour of a Belgarvia address, located not too far from the Scottish Embassy.
The hotel is all about luxury and elegance, and it's small boutique style with discreet location add to the falvour of the property, which is ideal for a weekend retreat within ... ...many better nights sleep, despite the hustle and bustle of typical London life. The rich aromatherapy throughout the hotel also adds to the salubriousness of the property and generates an all round feeling of relaxation.
The hotel's restaurant "Nahm" is Michelin-starred and serves award winning Thai-cuisine. Although, if I am honest, this was not to my personal taste and is one area where sister hotel, The Metropolitan and it's world famous restuarant ...
